This is my latest winter jacket, based on the American Civil War Sack Coat, it features two front patch pockets and one inner semi-circular pocket set just next to the placket. Constructed in a cashmere/wool mix with a subtle herringbone pattern that has been impressed rather than woven into the fabric. Its a simple, unlined style as per the original using a basic 2-piece body block and 2-piece fitted sleeves.
My design features a pointed collar rather than the traditional curve, as well as it being in grey/black, as opposed to the traditional blue or grey of the north or south.
These photos were taken down by the river on a particularly foggy day. The second photo shows the selvedge turn-up on my Shiro (White Selvedge) jeans which have been worn in quite nicely and, barring the in-bath shrinking, haven't been washed since being made.
