ok apparently this (from the novel sacrifice moon) is what jack was referring to— i missed it when i read it the first time bc it’s just daniel vaguely referencing it and we never actually see it (and neither does jack, much to his great disappointment😆):

Reading Sacrifice Moon. Jack busted his ankle at the beginning of the book and has been hobbling around on it the entire time on the Goa'uld Hunger Games planet they're trapped on. As someone who's had serious foot injuries where they can't put weight on it, the dedication to reminding us how bad Jack's ankle is, how much worse it's getting, and how characteristically stubborn he is in pushing through it is so painful.

At least he's still gay about it lmao.

And here he's...apparently getting jealous of Sam giving Daniel shooting lessons? Yeah ok. Good stuff recommend.

Y'all I'm over halfway through Sacrifice Moon and all I'm gonna say is that this book is WILD. It's so violent and gory and off the walls compared to Stargate SG-1 I mean HOLY CRAP.

She looked around, dazed, and blinked at them. "Where-" And then she knew; he saw everything kick in. Fast, his Carter. She climbed out of the sarcophagus, steadied herself, and flashed him an unsteady smile.
