never forget... I still remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I lived in New York back then - about 45 minutes from the city. I remember our teachers telling us what had happened, and then being bused back home. It took hours because West Point was on lockdown. My sister and I spent the rest of the afternoon in disbelief and shock watching the news. Being a military family (and living on a military base) meant we knew exactly what would happen next. We knew our friends and loved ones would be going off to war. I have friends that still chose to go military 3 years later so they could go off and protect us all. I thank them everyday for our freedom and their sacrifice! #9/11 #neverforget911 #sacrificeforfreedom (at Longview, Texas)
