I happened to be reading an article about the possibility that real estate in Manhattan will eventually become so expensive that only rich people can live there. If so, I wondered, will the phrase “inner city” no longer be a euphemism for a place where poor people live?
Calvin Trillin ("When 'All Thumbs' Becomes a Compliment")
Concept:
Vados and Champa are married and one day they get into an argument. Everyone knows that when you get angry, your blood pressure rises. So Champa got angry, his blood pressure rose, and he had a heart attack. While at the hospital Vados blames herself and feels horrible for letting it happen, as Champa nearly dies form the heart attack.
Romanticism seems so sweet, until you’re that bittersweet word that never quite fits; heartbroken.
Angel Dust working part time as a bodyguard for Vox whenever he goes outside but only on rare occasions. Partly because Valentino forces him to, but also partly because Angel accidentally learnt about crazy fans' dangerous sexual fantasies/intentions toward Vox that he can't help but be freaked out about.
Angel shouldn't have to put himself through this, especially knowing that he never gets the safety he provides for another, especially someone who has power. But he continues to do this because he doesn't wish for anyone to go through what he went through.
Mickey Rat goes to Scala Ad Caelum to find old man Bragi, who after being given his body back/released by Luxu is shunned by anyone who lives there (if anyone) because he's supposed to have died with everyone else.
Concept: You never told me that you didn’t love me anymore and that we are happy and I don’t hate you.
