I remain at your side.
I know everyone's talking about the new companions these days, but I'm trying very hard to avoid any big spoilers 👀 so I'm just sitting in a corner, thinking about Fenris.

The most violated Legolas has ever felt.
TW blood
Elrohir rested his chin on his knees as his arms hugged them tightly. Perched on the edge of a small cliff he had a fsir view of the world below. Before him the sun's light glittered on the clear surface of the lake. Animals came and went gerting their sips and baths. Bedding down in the grasses around. Things so familiar yet so strange here.
His grey eyes settled on a small bird perched on the back of a basking turtle. A decaying log providing both a safe space off the cool lake surface. An odd pair. He smiled softly head still pillowed on his knees. Like he and Elladan.
They remained close but they were very different elves. His stomach clenched at the thought of how different. His ears twitched as someone approached. He did not wish for company. Not with his current concerns.
Tughtening his arms around his legs he forced his body to relax. "What brings you to such a place this time of day, Grandfather Nolo?"
Fingolfin looked out over the peaceful view, smiling as a doe pushed her sleepy fawn furth into thr shelters of the forest on thr far end of the lake. Folding his legs he lowered his body to sit beside the young peredhel. "Rochallor needed a good run. And I sensed a young elf needing a shoulder to lean on."
Elrohir burried half his face in his arms unsure if he even wanted company. No harm would it bring he supposed. "I welcome your company." He said quietly. They sat for several hours warchung the sun slowly sink down behins the forest. "Lothlorien's trees would be glowing with full leaves by now." He said softly. "Imladris' would be in full bloom. Green and crisp as far as the eye can see." He sighed his eyes dulling with memory and longing. "We left. When our sister fell to the rest of men. But I was not ready."
Fingolfin kept his eyes upon the natural beauty before them. But his heart called to ease rhe pain in his young kin. "Ages ago. I made the difficult choice to follow my brother to war and ruin. I was not ready to leave our home. But I could not leave him to face the wrath of Evil alone."
Elrohir wondered if it was a curse of their blood. To follow siblings with little question and little regard for what the individual wished for. "I have followed him into anger. Laughed with him in peace. Yet I remain unsettled here. It is not that I do not love them. Not that I do not care for him more than my own Fëa-"
Fingolfin looked to Elrohir seeing a single tear disappear onto his knees.
"I miss home. I-do not know how to find a new one here."
Fingolfin placed an arm around the elfling pulling himself closer so he could lean to his side. "I cannot say I know your feelings young one. I can offer solace as I may. You are not wrong nor ill mannered for being unhappy here. You always have a place at my home should you need space and tume alone."
Elrohir lifted his head settling it against the older elf and gave a small nod. He was happy his brother had settled so well. That his parents had found their nich here. He just-could not seem to fit. Wondered if he ever would. He should not have lwft their home for the sake of his fsmily if it was not his hearts choice. He woukd need to make peace with that. On his own. "Thank you, Grandfather Nolo."
