~ Elrond and Celebrian And their sons Elladanus and Elrohir... ✨
"That is my father's sword." Fingon said as he leaned against the wall. Arms crossed. Watching this young one curiously. Or cautiously. Sometimes he couldnt name his intentions.
Elrohir's grey blue eyes followed the lines of the blade. The strange scroll of elvish he could not read. The hairs on his neck rose at the words. "It has little damage. For being what it is."
Fingon smiled pushing off the wall to walk toward the display. "Father keeps his most important posessions in proper standing."
Elrohir traced the sharp edge with his eyes. "Our histories claim it is strong enough to wound Morgoth Bauglir."
The temperature of the room lowered so swiftly Elrohir shivered. "Aye. Those claims are true."
Elrohir looked to Fingon. He was related to this elf. Distantly. He wasnt even sure what to call him. "They also say a vala's blood could melt steel."
Fingon frowned his eyes holding a light of sorrow and anger. "What does this line of thought do for you young one."
Elrohir turned ro the blade tilting his head as the signs of ice crystals now lined its edges. "Truthfully I do not know. I suppose-I am trying to understand my own nature. While trying to understand my history."
Fingon let a silent sigh escape his nose. "That is a difficult search to take on alone."
"Nice to see you awake."
Rôg made a sound deep in his throat as he rolled his head towward the cool cloth movinf along his neck. He wanted to speak but his voice definitely had another opinion.
Maedhros placed the cooling cloth on his forhead and sat back in the chair. "The elfling is fine. He saved your half roasted backside."
Images flashed in Rôg's mind and he groaned as a spike of pain shot into his temple. *Smoke. Flames. Voices. A thunderous sound.* He gasped at the touch fingers on his cheek.
"Do not push. The memories will come. Whatever poisons they used still flow in your blood. Rest."
Maedhros watched as Rôg's confusion was blanketed by exhaustion. He checked the hour glass ensurinf the next does of medication wouldn't be for a while out. Standing as the smith's eyes dropped close he walked out into the living area once more.
His eyes found the half elf sitting on the couch. Hands wrapoed around a steaming cup of chaomile and honey tea. "Elrohir was it?" At the elfling's nod he grabbed his own cup of tea and sat in the overstuffed chair across from his unexpected guest.
“If ypu have refreshed yourself I would have you tell me how you came to be on my doorstep with a half dead bonded of mine.”
Elrohir’s head shot up and he looked hard at the other elf. “He never said anything about being bonded.”
Maedhros tilted his head. “Ours is not what one would consider a traditional bond. We do not speak of it to others.” His emerald green eyes watched the young one curiously.
Elrohir forced his jaw to close as his mind rolled that information into a drawer for future probing. "The tsvern was already on fire when the smoke woke me."
Mirror
An Arda story for @microcest!
Prompt: Sixty-Nine (from July 23rd 2025)
E; 500 words Elladan/Elrohir
Close and closer, the loop of a mirror perfect in its imperfections.
I think this is the most/longest I've struggled with any of these; that's what I get for not trying to be clever and use sixty-nine in some other sense, I guess. >.>
(Also trying to write a summary for this was like . . . are you serious. XD)
From the footnotes of the fic I posted today:
Tolkien’s statements on Aragorn and Arwen’s kids are pretty much just ‘Eldarion and some daughters’, and where Tolkien gets lazy I ignore him and get creative :) . I think it’s a missed opportunity to lose the parallel of have four straight generations of twin sons and a daughter (Eärendil and Elwing never had a daughter, you say- well, they might have if Eärendil hadn’t buggered off sailing). Additionally, speaking (human) genetically, the tendency for twins (not identical twins but I digress) is passed through the mother’s line, therefore it would make complete sense for Elwing and Arwen to have twins but Celebrían would have just as much of a chance as anyone. Therefore the only explanation is that Elrond was the one to give birth to E, E, & A, case closed.
Heist, assisted by a goose.

Hold it! How did I miss this detail for so long?
The Hobbit has just pop-up back into Netflix, so here I am, working and letting it run in the background; which of course means that I have advance in the class planification virtually zero.
Now entering Rivendell it came to me that Celebrían had already left Middle-Earth by this time, some 400 something years, but is more than a decade before the twins witness the death of Arathorn II so.... couldn't have Peter Jackson given us the honor of the a glimpse of the Twin Son's of Elrond! I mean, the movies as a whole have... issues, the first being the one I can watch every now and then appreciate so many details, like the fëanorian start EVERYWHER in Imladris; but finally it came to me, there could be Elrohir and Elladan walking around!
Excuse my rant, I saw it and I needed to share it.
