Julian was wrapped in a blanket on the couch. He had been laying there for hours. Just staring off into the distance. His breathing slow but even. Even though his stomach kept rumbling he didn’t move from his position.

Julian was wrapped in a blanket on the couch. He had been laying there for hours. Just staring off into the distance. His breathing slow but even. Even though his stomach kept rumbling he didn’t move from his position.
Cinder sat curled up in the corner. His hand seemed more fire than flesh as he just stared at the flickering flames. His green eyes were flat and lifeless as his flesh was as pale as death.
Sniffling he wiped at his cheeks with a free hand. Everything was fading and he was more in control of his emotions now then he was before. Sitting alone he just stewed in his loneliness.
It Burns.

I think Detective Reed might be upset with me...
I’m ...not certain what to do about this..
*Genuine confusion and mild upset*
I don’t feel like being on Sam tonight.
“She went by the name of Gemini Suss. Born to a wealthy banker in Western Chicago. Beautiful girl, and I wouldn’t have asked for anything better. Being my first love...I....I was childish, giddy. Long auburn hair, piercing green eyes, and the scent of mint and rose. It made me mad really.”
“We, as in my mother, the guard, caravan and I swept the streets of the Windy City for a good month. I met her in a bakery by an old baseball stadium. We couldn’t keep our eyes off each other. We stayed up late, staring at the moon how lovers should be. Then I was time for me to leave and I gave her one last kiss.”
“She was a runner. As we left I looked back on the city I was once lovestruck in only to see a figure running toward us. The guard got alarmed and aimed at it but before he knew it, she was in my arms crying and kissing me with nothing but that stupid hat she war and a pistol she stole from her father.”
“Time went by and my mother had decided to travel down the coast, through the Frontier, down into California, then into Reno; which was an extremely dangerous route. I begged and pleaded for her to stay safe in our little town in Colorado. She was persistent and I gave in...”
“We were not 25 miles away from the safe zone along the Plumas Forrest. We were in a small pocket of Enclave remnants territory. That’s when we saw the suits, those stupid fucking tesla suits. They didn’t even talk to us...they just shot at us. W...we hid and ran...for 25 miles. We were right there... 600 yards away from the safe zone....the fucking NCR shooting at them to protect us. A...and she collapsed against me. A hole the size of a baseball through her lung, and all she did was cry a single tear. The last thing I...I told her was how beautiful it would be to see the safe zone....I didn’t even say ‘I love you’ and she’ll never know now.”
*Temple stands up and throws his chair in toward the table and begins bawling. Gemini would be the first, but not the last. But she would take a huge chunk out of him. And it would take a year for him to be healed, before he would visit Chicago again...*
“Listen, I’m not the kissable type. Just hasn’t...well...worked out. I seem to be a bad luck charm. Happened in Chicago, happened in Santa Fe, and happened in Reno. I mean...being lonely sucks too...but life has just...been dealing the wrong cards to me.”
