The air is a bit cooler now- crisper, even. It's been a slow fade, but soon enough it'll be winter.
Though not soon enough.
Sadie's breaths are slow and quiet as she lies beneath the orange and red hued trees, the autumn air bringing her a sense of peace. She wishes it was colder, but the climate in New York is much more forgiving than what she's been used to for decades.
Most people are wearing jackets or long sleeve shirts now, but not Sadie. She's still wearing cooler clothing. Even now she's wearing a light halter top, though she is wearing full jeans.
A young woman with wavy blonde hair walks into the New York Bulletin, briefly talking to someone at the entrance. Shes wearing a very 70's style outfit- bell bottom jeans and a turtle neck.
She turns away it's a nod and makes a beeline for Karen.

Karen's makeup can't quite hide the bags under her eyes -- it's been a rough few weeks... or months. But with the Venti-sized cup of coffee on the desk next to her, she's getting by okay.
She hears the sound of footsteps approaching and lifts her eyes from the folder on the desk in front of her. Her eyes widen a little, seeing the retro outfit approach. The blond woman doesn't exactly blend in with all the professional suits and pencil skirts that people are wearing around her.
"Can I help you?" Karen asks as the woman gets near enough to speak to comfortably.
It's warm... almost too warm. It's unfamiliar, biting even. The phone says it's only 67, and yet, it feels like it's burning her skin. She almost hates it, but the smell... the smell is comforting. A comfort long forgotten.
The girl with the short, wavy hair sits alone at the 'retro' diner. A corner booth with red and white seats. As much as she tries to cling onto the feeling... it's different. Her food is okay, technically better than what she's used to, but it's still just not right. It's not what she wishes it to be, and yet, she eats it anyway.
Her clothes stand out more than anything- a very soft hippie look. The colors are muted, but the dress is loose and flowy. It's either handmade or old. Maybe even both.
She stares at the clock on the wall after finishing her food, only being brought back to reality when someone walks into the diner.
And then, a feeling is back. An all too familiar feeling. Her posture straightens, if that's even possible. Something is off about this person. Is it good? Is it bad? She can't tell, not yet, but goosebumps have already risen on her skin and her mind has a focal point.
The person looks her way, and eyes lock eyes.
And now to tag some people that I've rped with on other blogs :D No pressure, btw

He has about 17 visible cuts on his face alone, the edges of his sleeves and pants legs ripped.
“I had to assassinate someone… they had dogs. Big ones. Not rabies… I think.”
Blood flows from his nose. “Also they had a shotgun and they tried to knock me out with it and they missed and crushed my nose.”
He tries to stop some of the bleeding with his hands on the various cuts. “Needless to say, healthy fear of dogs has been found.”
Sadie sits there for a moment in pure shock, her face showing it all too well.
"Oh my god..." she shakes her head to clear her mind. Sadie is quick to open her apartment door wider, ushering him in quickly. Her flare style pants make a light flapping noise as she moves around.
"Do they know you're here?" she blurts out, naturally thinking about HYDRA. Especially after a mission...
The weather had finally started warming up. Flowers begun to bloom and the grass was green. It was a beautiful day.
Sadie stepped onto the back porch, careful to close the door softly. It was always better to be quiet around the house, even at this time of the day. The warm sun was welcome, and Sadie smiled at it. She took one last glance at the house before leaping off the porch and running into the field.
The soft grass felt good on her barefoot feet, but naturally, she tripped on a small rock. The misstep sent her hurling down into the grass.
Sadie let out a small wail, pushing herself off the ground. She didn't bother to look around. The field was empty. She curled up, looking at her now scuffed knees. Sadie sniffled.
"Come on now, Sadie. It was just a small tumble." Sadie looked up and wiped her eyes. It was her brother. His bigger frame blocked some of the sun. He should be working, why was he helping her?
He reached out his hand and Sadie took it, letting him help her up. She sniffled again and hugged her brother.
"It'll be alright, Sadie. You're tougher than an ol' rock."
//Yay! The more I think about Sadie, the more I flesh out her story. This is just a start of random blurbs about her past! I'm really excited to share this!! Also, I am trying my hardest to get back into Rping (again lol).
