I’m so grateful that we twinned on that one, fateful evening in 2016, because I got one of my favorite people out of it and get to cry with you over the same, fandom moments and chase vegetarian poutine around Vancouver for three days. BEST! DAY! EVER!! –– it’s your birthday! 

happy birthday to my #1 twin and real life rapunzel @saetrewrites / @resiilients ♡ 

i know this is like the weirdest year ever to be doing anything, even having a birthday, but you deserve to have the best day ever with all the best cake, adoring fans (and friends!) falling over trying to get your best angle for that #aesthetic, snuggles with king, and some champagne in the bathtub. ONE of these days, we’re going to time it right and i’ll be there, dragging dani along so we can take the group photo without photoshopping her head in! for now, i have to look at our photostrips and the print out of our mom on the wall waiting until we meet at camp again. 

it’s so weird that it’s been like....4 years since we first met, because it feels like a few months ago, but any time before knowing you feels like a century ago. i’m so glad we’ve been finishing each other’s sentences since 2016 (another insane year, and if we got through that one together, we can do this ♡ ), screaming over fan vids, bitching about men, and even just keeping each other company in the silences sometimes together. you have such a sweet, calming presence, and i probably don’t tell you i appreciate you as much as i should, but i do, and i hope to be making milk jokes with you even thirty years from now.

you’re such an adorable, sunshine baby (yes, okay, you’re baby!) and a total little sister to me, but that doesn’t mean i don’t also look up to you. you have so much drive and ambition and have found creative ways to put yourself out there and pursue what you love in whatever way you can – and you’re so talented! you’re also such an empathetic, kindhearted person and a patient listener, which i admire so much. rapunzel would be proud, and so am i. 

one last thing i want to emphasize is again, how much i love and value you. i know dani and i can sometimes be goofy terror twins in the bennet sisters chat and drag you into our character games and bs, so we probably don’t get as mushy as we honestly should sometimes, but you’re such an integral and irreplaceable part to our group and family, and i love you so much (and know she does, too, which i should add, since i dragged her into this lmfao). 

please take care of yourself and go wild celebrating my favorite twin and sunshine princess. ilysm my annie/bess/emma/gaby/etc, etc etc!!! ♡

mars, you need to stop having birthdays because I’m genuinely running out of ways to say I love you dkjbdjkbdjbd anyway, its like you said, this year literally does not count... that being said, I’m going to make it count because you’re one of my best friends and you deserve to have good things, especially good birthdays. as far as I’m convinced you’re one of the reasons this year isn’t totally unforgivable for screwing us all: though it hasn’t been an easy year, especially for you, what with quarantine and all kinds of other stuff, you’ve personally made my year more tolerable. 

I’m going to try and keep this from being uber sappy, but I do have to say that I love you so so very much. You’ve got such a bright spirit, and where you go, light follows, like you’re the flame, and it’s the moth. You make everywhere you go a better place. Everyone deserves to have a friend like you: someone kind, ambitious, inspirational and forgiving. Not to mention easy-going: I’ve never met anyone more chill than you. A great balance for Christine and I’s insanity. 

Thank you for always playing games with us, and putting up with all our ( sometimes a little too mean ) quips, and being vocal about the things you care about. You make me a better person, and push me to be a better friend. 

I love you so much, my eleanor, my jane, my annie and the perfuma to my scorpia. Here’s to one day getting to see you when this is all over, babe.
