UNIT is not a safe place for children, Kate knows this. So when a frightened little girl shows up at their doorstep, Kate takes it upon herself to look after her. Through the years of fear and bravery and joy and tears, Kate learns more about her daughter, as well as herself.

A canon-divergent fic focusing on Kate's daughter, Abigail. It covers 21 years of their lives, from 2009 to 2030 as told by multiple characters. It stemmed from a singular idea I had in July 2024, and has grown exponentially since. All series links are to AO3; all art links are on tumblr.

Kate is in hiding. Gordon decided to write his mum a letter, filling her in on the past few years of his life, despite the fact he has no way of getting it to her. Osgood is undercover in the USA, they record a small update each month, hoping one day they'll make a safe contact with Kate.
