There are many ways in which people may become victims of cyber bullying. Below are some tips on how to deal with cyberbullying:
Copy the Evidence: Keep abusive messages, screenshots of webpage, or other forms of proof saved in a place that you have exclusive access to such as a private email account, computer folder, or flash drive. Report the abusive material to a trusted adult such as a teacher, family member or student counselor. Unreported incidents of cyber bullying often become more aggressive.
Report Threats: Contact the police upon any threat of harm or inappropriate sexual messages. In many cases, these actions may be prosecuted by law.
Be Diligent: Cyber bullying is rarely limited to an occasional incident and is far likelier a part of a sustained attack that lasts for a period of time. For this reason, it’s important to report each and every incident of bullying until it has been stopped.
