So today was a day of firsts!! I ran my first 10k at 58:30, I ran my first real trail run and longest run on Sage Trail (above) for 6.30 miles, I ran my fastest mile at 8:21 and because I did a second 5.25 mile run I ran the most I have ever run in a day at 11.55 miles. It was a real busy day...
Now more about the Sage Trail... it is a great run as you can see. The trail head has a bathroom, which is great thing to have before a run. The trail itself as you can see is wide enough for two. The trail has a small pond, horses and cows as well as a lovely 300 ft assent around mile 2.5. While the trail was fairly quite for me I did notice a lot of off leash dog walkers so just a warning. The other thing I will say is that the trail is not quite three miles so in order to get the 6.2 I had to run a third lap for about a half a mile (which I used as my cool down walk back to the car.) I will say it was a great beginner trail and it did have some more advanced trails coming off of it (eagle trail.) But being 10 minutes from Boulder makes this a great run.
