A piece of the NBA died today. A hole is somewhere, somewhere on the sideline of every NBA court tonight. The televised aspect of this game, this game, will not ever be the same. It is a rare and special feat for a sports journalist to acquire the kind of association with a sport that Craig Sager was able to kindle. He was the sideline reporter not just for TNT, but in the minds of all who watched, Craig Sager was just that guy on the sideline in the funny looking clothes, but underneath that look we all knew what a dedicated knowledgable reporter he was and how he crafted his interviews proved that over and over again. Craig Sager was unique. Craig Sager was unlike any other and he was beloved by all. When he became ill and took time off, he had an NBA family pulling for him, encouraging in all ways and he had us fans pulling for him. And what a few years it has been with Craig being Sager Strong. Oh, my heart breaks and basketball takes a backseat tonight, and Coach Pop, only Coach Pop can really speak to the testament of what Craig Sager was all about. What interviews those two had and what entertainment for us all. Some say we're forgotten or forgiven all our sins; either way, all I know for sure is that we all will live again.
