I love truth serum/spells/pollen fics because I have a desperate need for forcing avoidant characters to be vulnerable. like!!! Take Shen Jiu for example (because ofc This about SJ but can be applicable to anyone really), this guy would rather cut off his own limbs (Rip (ehe get it?) Bing Bong's revenge plan) than utter a full, unobscured truth.

Half - truths? Sure. Truths hidden in barbs and insults? Sure. But the plain truth? Exposed against his will? When he's a character who clutches control to his chest and hisses at anything that threatens it?? When he clawed his way to the top despite all the pain and suffering he experienced (and technically is still experiencing)????

The shame of who he was. That child in the muck. Abandoned and left to rot.

The grief of what he could've been. Who he deserved to be. Who was robbed from him.

The anger because it isn't fair. Shielding his sorrow. Shielding his tears.

And to have that all bubble up without. his. consent.

Obsessed with The Villains White Halo so I decided to see what kind of ao3 stories are out there and. There's none. I'm devastated. This can't be...

Also found out the official eng translation came out like. Around 4 months ago (book 3 is coming out in August. Tears).

It's past 1 am, I have a 4hr network based event tmmrw but I'd just like to mention The First Law of Alchemy by PeerlessCourgette (marimorimo). I love binggeyuan to the moon and back and typically I don't like ocs but as Zhao Jiahao is a mix of some of the overprotective goats from canon (I smelt the LQG behaviour from a mile away), i love him so!!

This whole story is just so loveable!! The angst is delicious. The pain of realising you had something good and losing it. The Pain (period). There's even a cameo of another goat! (Much much much later but still)

I love everything about it sm. Genuine Good Soup over here. Highly reccomend! (Heed the tags <3).

Last Book: If you haven't seen me crashing out about it already, I'm currently reading Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (MDZS), and I'm on Book 2 :P (I am in Hell. I cannot get past the Empathy/ Flashback thing bec Xue Yang WHEN I CATCH YOU OMG!! THE LAYERS TEH BETRAYAL AAAAAAA-) (Ahem... It's going quite slowly bec I have to keep taking 24 hour breaks per like. 2 pages...)

Last Song: Originally, it was HUMBLE by Kendrick Lamar (I was going on a Kendrick Lamar Spree to annoy my siblings lol), but then I started playing Wind by Akeboshi while writing this :P I LOVE NARUTOOOOO

Last Film: Oooo, this is difficult... I haven't watched a film in a while... er. The one I sat down and watched in full last was probably Kpop Demon Hunters? But that was on a plane a few months ago ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Last Series: I'm interpreting this as anime because... life is much more fun that way! The last anime series I was watching was.. jjba w/ my sister! (I've watched them in a weird order, so while I've finished Stone Ocean, I've gone back to watch DIU ^^; (it's so good!!!!!))

Last Video Game: Magic Chess: Go Go or Honor of Kings (Would've been OPBR but ... blackbeard came out.. and I play ASL and.. I am NOT dealing with that so.. break :D )

Sweet or salty: Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Idk D: I go for textures (crunchy) more than taste.. and typically I'd chose spicy stuff... erm. I'll go with sweet?

Coffee or Tea: Tea! I love tea :D Especially green tea! (deffo an acquired taste lol)

Working on: Ooooo so many things! Non-uni related, I'm mainly working on an SVSSS Shen siblings fic :D (but other wips keep popping up from diff fandoms! D: (I currently have 62 on Ellipsus in total. I am ignoring the ones on Google Docs :P )) Rn I'm fixing my draft for it ! (I keep adding new tropes LOL)

Oh! and I'm thinking of cleaning up a smol something about Xie Lian's time in the coffin. (Just so it can leave my drafts LMAO) but idk.... that seems like a dangerous slope to fixating on my other tgcf wips... (particularly an incredibly angst one focused on the Xianle trio + their pasts / traumas that I remembered recently (it'll.. probably stay on the backburner) and... Shen siblings... 🥺
