these kids are stressing me out, but i fully admit i do want to see them dating other people just to wqtch them realize how much better they had it with each other, and also for them to run into each other while they're dating other people and for their current partners to be like wtf

um. if she's sick she's the first person who needs to know. i hate it when romance dramas do this, they give the man important information that realistically the woman should have, just to either 1) make him relevant or 2) give him angst. it's the latter here and like yeah i'm enjoying seeing him upset but it's so unfair to dai ji. also she has a mom, like if she's sick her family needs to know and of course that will ease some of the financial burden. i don't even mind that they're pulling out cancer in ep6, cause the vibe of this show can pull it off (it fits into the emotional world the show has so far created) but like be serious, the first person affected and most affected by being sick is the sick person :/
aaahhhh i love that we get to see them be together--dating and living together and supporting one another and growing up together--and not the usual meet and bicker and get together + kiss in the last episode formula. they're so fun and cute and sweet together right now, i'm kinda scared to watch life and the city beat them up and change them.
