thank u i am sooo normal and mentally stable about this <(manifesting) and i would Love to rn I'm reading the sweetness at the bottom of the pie by Alan Bradley it's one of my faves and i'd HIGHLY recommend it. Generally all the Flavia de Luce books are REALLY good lol they're about a jackass 11 year old detective who's a genius at chemistry pissing off her sisters and solving murders in a rundown old mansion in 1950s Britain (as you can probably guess Flavia is one of my favorite characters of all time lmao)

!!! Pathologic is a video game! You play as one of three healers - a bachelor of medicine, a surgeon, or a magical girl - arriving in a small town on the Russian steppe just one day before the start of a plague outbreak. You have twelve in-game days to figure out how to deal with the outbreak as your character. The three separate paths don’t really align, but the other two protagonists do show up during your story and their goals and endings are separate and even conflicting with each others’. The Bachelor is a thanatologist and doctor with more western training of medicine and an outsider to the town, so his route is a pretty good introduction to the town that the other characters wouldn’t need. The Haruspex (the surgeon) is a local returning home after studying elsewhere to take his father’s place as a doctor and leader in the town’s indigenous population and has more to do with both organs & herbs than the Bachelor does. His route is much more lore-heavy than the Bachelor’s route. I haven’t played the Changeling’s route yet, though from what I understand her route wasn’t as complete as the others? She can use her hands to either heal or kill people, magically, and can pull the truth out of others.

It’s classified as an RPG but the ‘first’ one (Pathologic Classic) is sort of like...a walking simulator mashed up with a visual novel. It’s got one of those story rich tags on Steam and the characters have a lot of depth to them. The ‘second’ one (Pathologic 2) isn’t exactly a sequel. It’s... kind of a remake, but also not really? It has much better graphics, and the basic plot is the same, but there’s enough of a difference to the characterizations and the sidequests to be its own separate game. Right now only the Haruspex route has been released, though there is a DLC for one day as the Bachelor (Marble Nest) and they are working on the Bachelor route right now. I think both Classic & Pathologic 2 are fun in their own right, but I recognize that Classic really isn’t for everyone.

hey idk if you've answered this before but what art program/ brushes do you use?? i've been looking to change mine and the stuff you draw is Gorgeous

I do everything in Photoshop 2020, and I mainly use brushes from either:

this package (Jon Neimeister Digital Oils) 

or this package (Sakimichan Photoshop brushes)

Here are the four I use most often, which I’ve dropped into a personal set:

The Round-ExtraSmooth-Clean brush is from the Neimeister package and I like using it in place of the default PS Hard Glide brush (sketching/laying down solid colors, etc.), but most of the other brushes in that pack are good for texture. The other three are from the Sakimichan package, and I definitely use the soft round airbrush the most. 

I use a lot of the brushes from both of these sets but I’m pretty sure I could live off of the four in the screenshot

EDIT: In my search for the download pages, I found another set by the same guy who did the digital oils set. I haven’t tried it out personally, but it seems super promising and I’m going to try them out for the next few days!

she's sooo not used to being on her own. she's always been in sayaka's shadow, everyone was sure sayaka was a cinch to get the ultimate idol spot. but somehow she was chosen and now instead of being the Token Grumpy One she has to learn how to be the face of her group and quick. she used to be able to be herself at school and only "switch it on" for being an idol but now she has to be "on" all the time.

she's combative when she doesn't mean to be and she's trying her best but man is it not showing. she was a group, part of a collective, and now she's suddenly thrust into the spotlight and she has no idea what to do when she's on her own. she doesn't have her group--she doesn't have Sayaka, as much friction as there was between them. and the friction's only growing.

The stranger turns like he wasn't expecting anyone to talk to him, and Hiro can see his hand flick to his pocket where there's probably a knife or a gun, because of course the guys gonna have protection, no shit. Hiro rolls down the window and shows both his hands so the dude can see they're empty, and the guy relaxes, and Hiro calls himself an idiot for what he does next, which is lean out of the window and ask if the guy needs a ride.
