Magic School Bus. Reading Rainbow wasn't on when I was home as a kid, and I didn't know they had actual books until this year. But the Magic School Bus show was so fun, and later one of my science teachers looked SUSPICIOUSLY similar to Ms. Frizzle, so that was fun.

For the sake of an answer though, crosshipping because I think I've only seen a couple crosshipping things ever and i'm ALWAYS a slut for more rarepair works. But if someone handed me some boundshipping right now, i'd probably be overjoyed, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EVEN MORE CATS. I haven't gotten to hang out with a cat since a friend of mine had to rehome theirs, and haaaah it's taken its toll. Cats are just so nice. Necessary for happiness.

11: What do you like best about this fic? for Reflections in the Water.

*slaps the lid of Reflections In The Water* This baby can fit so many Ryou Bakura headcanons.

Seriously though, Reflections has given me SO MANY opportunities to put in headcanons, not just about Ryou but about the entire cast too. The gang still play Monster World together. Yugi would be pretty chill about being dead if he and Atem's canonical places were switched. Ryou doing 3D modeling and digital design. Yami Malik being an absolute gamer. Malik and Honda getting along swimmingly if the whole Mind Control Jounouchi shit never happened. Ryou would in fact buy a house JUST to live in a haunted house. Many more that I want to say but can't because spoilers! (I am still working on it! I have not abandoned it, I will not abandon it!)

But the most important headcanon of them all: Rishid owning a cat café.

Not to mention, Reflections In The Water started as just a silly haunted house au and very, very quickly grabbed me by the throat and forced me to dev it into something much, much larger than its origins. It went from a silly excuse to write haunted house atmosphere and possibly ghost sex, to a fully developed thinkpiece on "What would have changed in YuGiOh if Yugi wasn't there?". That question is what lead to the entire backstory of Atem and TKB, which WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE SO LONG. But it ended up being its own wholeass other fic. Reflections In The Water just wouldn't stop growing. Malik and Yami Malik have different backstories to be revealed in a later chapter(s), too, plus even more plot to conclude that started in the Atem and TKB prequel story. It's just been a really wonderful, giant ride for me and it's all more than I ever thought I'd make when I first started the story.

I think I gave more than one favorite thing lol oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

9: Are there any fics you’d love to see but don’t want to write yourself? What are they?

But for real, I'd love to read a fic that plays off of season zero ish ish under the premise that Yami Yugi misses the high stakes of shadow games enough that he tries to make friends with Ryou and Yami Bakura for the sake of starting more Do Or Die games. Slowly over the course of several gaming sessions, Yami Yugi learns about Kul Elna and is so disturbed by it that he asks Yami Bakura for a second chance, because his memories and thus what part of him thought massacre was excusable are gone. If it does end in shipping, it would be Ryou x Yami Yugi x Yami Bakura, with Yami Yugi joining pre-existing Tendershipping. But it would also make a wonderful gen story exploring the nature of action and responsibility, atonement for actions you don't remember but provably did, and how to correct behavior you weren't aware of.

I have one fic that i'd love to see written but probably won't make it out of my wips folder. It's a Rival and Puzzle leads to Pride/Flare where Yugi is kidnapped by a group who are after the Puzzle (not the Ghouls), and Atem and Kaiba bond over both missing Yugi and working together to find him. How? Yugi has a guess on why he's being taken, so he throws the Puzzle into the ocean, which is how Kaiba gets it after Mako fishes it out. Yup this is an Atem Possessing Kaiba/Kaiba Wields The Puzzle story. The end goal is Kaiba calling Yugi and asking to talk, after Yugi is saved (not really a spoiler... I couldn't let anything bad happen to Yugi...) and Kaiba has a chance to really think about/processing the feelings that developed between himself and Atem.

I'm guessing this is about people and not characters, right? I'm gonna go with people, and then be REALLY typical and say to YOU, Saijspellhart, I love the amount of creativity and detail you put into both your art and your stories. You craft the worlds of your stories in such a way that they feel real. Not just believable, but tangible. It makes me look forward to seeing new creations of yours! Especially the mermaids. I've seen a lot of mermaid designs with many inspirations, but not ones based on real fish before! That was a huge treat.

Okay no more gushing from me lol time for the next question.

Q - A ship you’ve abandoned and why

I'm debating how many past fandoms I want this game to make me admit to. Fuck it.

MCU Stucky. After Endgame, anything set in the canon world just, hnng Endgame really blew it for me. Nothing to do with the fandom (surprise lol), it was entirely the canon! I'm going to end up ranting, so I will just leave it at Bucky deserves better than a guy who will ditch him to chase a woman who got over him 10 years ago.

Sorry if you wanted this one to be Yugioh-specific, but I haven't actually abandoned any ygo ships! I've gotten close with a couple, but the charm comes back around every time. I simply continue to hoard ygo pairings, like a little dragon.

For the character ask game: Marik Ishtar (all of him. Both sides) pwease?

Hell yeah! (empahsis on the 'hell') let's go! Sexuality HC: Pansexual and uses He/They. Has a preference for masculine people though. Yami Marik just straight FUCKS. Pronouns for Yami Marik? Doesn't matter, yours are now past tense though.

Favourite Ships: Can I ship Marik with therapy? That boy needs a qualified professional to help him. Yami Marik X Bakura is fantastic in a horror of our love way. I do like the idea of Marik having a small, flirtatious crush on Joey post-battle city.

BroTP: Marik and Joey. It's precious during millenium world. This boy straight up brainwashes Joey for a whole season but Joey is just like 'We are SO COOL now". Atem and Marik is also very sweet. Yami Marik is an angry ghost/Zorc demon, his only friend is murder.

NoTP: Marik and Yugi is a no-go for me. It could be that I think they're technically cousins (I think??) but also I just don't think they vibe in a friendship sense. Also Yami Marik and Mai isn't for me, it's fun I guess as a horror movie horny thing but...nah, not for me.

Random HC: Marik get's sns nails done once a month. he also get's his eyebrows threaded. He gives me Lady Gaga fame monster energy.

General Opinion: A great villain, I really love his arc and I think he's a very VERY fun antagonist.

X: what would you like to change about your favorite franchise?

ah. well, to be honest, the last game in the dishonored franchise, although beautiful, makes pretty much zero sense character- and plot-wise. like. daud just.... immediately goes from a man who regrets murdering the empress to a man who say HEY let’s kill the outsider? all of his character development just went out the dang window. so i’d change that. have it reworked in some way that’s cohesive with the rest of dishonored games.

Y: what game would you want your child to play first?

hm. well, i wouldn’t want my kids playing mature games when they’re super young. so maybe pokemon? or something like that! like spyro and mario and all the Good Stuff i grew up on :-) pokemon heartgold would be the one i’d want them to play first, if that’s what they wanted.
