Our Lady of Lourdes appeared with a golden yellow rose on each bare foot, symbolizing glory and the triumphant joy of the spirit over earthly suffering.
While Saint Bernadette, who Our Lady of Lourdes appeared to, was not relieved of her earthly suffering, she kept her faith! Not a single one of us is promised a life free of suffering. But to persevere and see the purpose is a large part of what leads us to peace and eternal life with Christ.

La Vierge Marie m’a utilisé comme balai pour enlever la poussière. Lorsque le travail est terminé, le balai est à nouveau remis derrière la porte.
The Virgin used me as a broom to remove the dust. When the work is done, the broom is put behind the door again.
