Mass in London...
was not extremely different from Catholic mass in the US. We went to Saint Stephens conveniently down the street from our flat for 11 am Solemn Mass(the full ceremonial form of mass) The church is beautifuuuuuul and medium sized i guess.
They sing ALOT more, as well as the singing/talking thing. like i don't think I could handle hearing the Gospel read in the singing voice all the time. For communion you go up and kneel in groups as the priest comes to you. And the priest doesn't sit by an alter, he sat to the side in a chair facing the congregation and an alter server sat next to him turned facing him though. When he does his homily he moves to a elaborately decorated podium on the opposite side.
The choir of 7 people sounded amaazzinngg. They sang most of their songs a capella and it was just beautiful. i was not expecting that. Other than that it wasn't a culture shock or anything. i pretty much followed along well like church back home.
