yes stepcest isn't as hot as the real thing played straight and it can be a total cop out to just avoid dealing with the full extent of the taboo, but i do think there's some interesting things you can do with the concept of "what if you're a kid and one day someone just Shows Up and is a part of your family dynamic forever now." lots of opportunities for mixing stepcest and full blood incest. showing your new sibling what family affection looks like in your world. your new sibling viewing you as just a little plaything their parent got them to take their aggression out on or so that they can learn how to groom you for them. i mean don't even get me started on the ways you can play around with a brand new adult having the same level of power over you as your parent. you just have to get a little creative with it. stepcest and incest don't have to be enemies, they can be best friends, or brother and sister making out in the closet.
