-Magic Tales Series- Scorbus - The Little Merman, by Aurora Lynne

So I’ve been working on this series for a little while. Actually I haven’t worked on it for a while too, but I have a few of these drawings finished and I decided to start publishing them (and finishing the others). It’s a group of fairy tale inspired pieces, centered by the characters from @saintoswald‘s It’s Tea Time series (aka best Harry Potter fics ever), and this is the first of (hopefully) 18 drawings. The first tale of the batch is The Little Mermaid, and I think it’s very appropriate for Albus and Scorpius due to Scorp’s curious and playful nature. Hope you like it! And stay tuned for the rest of the series, I’m really proud of how they’re coming out :D Thank you!

LuluCade - The Future is Bright, by Aurora Lynne

I finished this one a while ago and if was sitting on my drawings folder, waiting for the right moment to be published... This last chapter was so emotional - and it moved me on such a personal level - that I knew I had to work on something. I can’t wait to see where this story takes them, thank you @saintoswald for your beautiful writing.

 Hello there! I was so happy after the last chapter of Set Fire To Our Homes (Draco’s PoV!!!) that I just couldn’t not draw something. I love Gemma Farley and drawing her was just wonderful! And Draco, my dear Draco, it makes me so happy to see him happy! I hope you enjoy my take on them and please read this wonderful story, you won’t regret it! AMEN TO ALL OF THIS. All movements we've fought and won over time have been fed by anger. Without it, we've got apathy, and that's exactly what the sexist, racist, islamophobic dumbasses who voted for Trump want us to be

And this kind of anger isn’t only directed outward, either. This kind of anger leads to a critical self-examination and keeps me on my toes about myself (it isn’t always successful, but at least it’s there). Most people lack critical thinking even outside of political contexts, and I think it’s because they aren’t angry enough. They aren’t angry enough at the world, at their family, at the failings of both, at their own shortcomings. You have to know things should be better to want it to be better and to actively work to make it so. Apathy and disinterest and complacency are all guilt.

A good friend pointed out that some people function best without anger, but that doesn’t mean they are no less motivated to act. For some people anger is completely destructive and consuming, and they have to work against it while still acting against all these problems. And that’s fine, that I can understand even if it’s not my experience. I just want people in my life to stop telling me not to be angry and to understand our different ways of approaching things.
