I believe that JLD became much better since it’s written not by Milligan. Because Milligan made it SOo BORING and OOC, that it’s just… Uhh. But now it’s really interesting. I mean, it have action and everything, and it’s really interesting. IMHO.

That said, I consider JLD!John a completely different character, like an AU basically, and I didn't mind Milligan writing him in that as much.  But yes, I agree it's better now without him.
