Summary:
Sakura can’t wait to get back some normalcy after Kankuro returns from Dubai but soon enough reality hits her harder than expected. Suddenly all her dreams and hopes for the future seem far away when fate strikes again, making her wish back to the old days and a carefree life.
“Today folks, I have a special treat for you! Two local bands are here to promote a good cause! Greet some of the band members of Will of Fire from Konoha and Desert Puppets from Suna! How are you guys? ”
“Hey there, it’s Kiba. I don’t know but if you ask me, I feel great to be here,” Kiba says. “What about you Shira?”
“It’s a bit too early,” he yawns. “But the coffee is good.”
“Aside from the coffee, tell us why you are here.”
Kankuro makes a sign he wants to speak. “In roughly four weeks we have a charity event. Our two bands play together to raise money for cancer awareness.”
He nods to Shikamaru.”Two months ago our drummer got diagnosed with cancer,” he explains. “As a sign of solidarity with our bandmate we are supporting LIVESTRONG, a charity organisation for survivors of cancer.”
“I see that Shira, Kankuro and Shikamaru have shaved their heads. Is this also a sign of solidarity?”
“It’s a bit cold on the head,” Shira says and all men laugh. “But it’s quite fancy if you ask me.”
“My wife almost killed me,” Shikamaru says. “And my son cried when he saw me.”
Again laughter travels through the room.
“You are part of both bands, Shikamaru. How did this happen?” Tenten asks.
“There was this flyer on the pinboard of my new university.”
“I played bass and was part of the Desert Puppets.”
“You forgot the part where you started dating Kankuro’s sister!” Kiba shouts, which earns him a stern look by Kankuro.
“And married her,” Shira adds.
Tenten laughs. “It sounds like you are all a big family.”
“Yes, we are,” Kankuro says. “I don’t want to miss any of them.”
“That was nicely said” Tenten looks at the clock. “Before we go into more details I will now play a song by the Desert Puppets. I heard that you wrote this song, Kankuro?”
“It’s a love song for his girlfriend,” Shira whispers into the microphone. “But don’t tell anyone.”
“Why don’t we give it a listen? A world premiere for all of you. Cherry Blossom Dreams by the Desert Puppets!”
