This simple recipe will guide you to make the perfect hard-boiled eggs with a creamy yolk and firm whites. They are great for salads, sandwiches, or as a healthy snack.
Ingredients: 4 large eggs. Water.
Instructions: Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan or pot. Add enough water to the pot to cover the eggs by about 1 inch 2.5 cm. Place the pot on the stove over high heat and bring the water to a rolling boil. Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the eggs simmer for 9-12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs, depending on your desired yolk consistency 9 minutes for slightly soft center, 12 minutes for fully set yolk. While the eggs are simmering, prepare a bowl of ice water. After the desired cooking time, use a slotted spoon to transfer the eggs to the bowl of ice water to cool rapidly and stop the cooking process. Let the eggs sit in the ice water for at least 5 minutes to ensure they are fully cooled. Once cooled, tap the eggs gently on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel the shells off carefully. Serve the perfect hard-boiled eggs whole, sliced, or chopped as desired. Enjoy!
