The one who said "Yes, I gave it to her straight" is actually Dia, followed by Kanan's "Sure". And I thought the translation here was kind of misleading since Dia's actual line in japanese was "Hanashimashita wa, kichin to", which just means "I told them straight" (most likely them points to Aqours, and Dia did just tell them about the 3rd years' past). Not sure why they went with "her" in the translation.
Wow ok thanks for the clarification! I guess that makes my post obsolete haha but I’m glad it was cleared up! I agree though. That translation is an odd choice because it makes the context completely unclear? “Her” would imply Mari cause Dia was talking to a group, but idk. Thanks again!

Japanese fandom usually go with ザビライ (zabirai) and I’ve seen some people calling it zavelai in the Western fandom, though it doesn’t show up much since it’s quite a minor ship in the first place…
