uhuhuhuh could you do salgexicon with gn reader cuddling under the stars or general s/o headcanons with the wizard? I know these are pretty basic prompts bahahdhfjrj
Of course! I hope you like this, I did my best to make it extra-squishy :D
You groaned as you hit your foot on the fifth rock that day, frowning at the stone with impatience. This hill the party was going over was riddled with them, half of them alive, the other half disguised monsters, and one out of every hundred, regular rocks. Apparently, you were destined to hit your foot on every normal rock on the hill. It was dark, the night sky obscured by clouds; the only sources of light were Salgexicon’s staff and a torch that Scarla was carrying.
“Okay, let’s stop for the night,” Salgexicon said, poking a boulder with his staff.
It didn’t jump out or screech in pain, so it wasn't a mimic. Thank goodness for that; you had been dealing with mimics for the past few days and you were quite tired of them. “Oh, thank the stars!” Scarla groaned, not even bothering to unroll her bed roll before flopping onto the ground, tossing her torch to the side.
There was the sound of something breaking, but you were sure it was some poor, normal rock the war witch had fallen on instead of her nose or something. She rolled onto her back and yep, she had broken a decent-sized stone. However, before you could even point it out, she was snoring. Skurdgvrm sat down and started polishing his beloved axe, as he usually did before bed. Bessie just sat there, staring into nothing with her blood-red eyes. Terrifying.
Salgexicon sidled up to you, grinning shyly. “You don’t mind if I sleep with you tonight, right?” He asked, a small blush on his cheeks.
“Of course, Salgexicon,” You said, blushing a tiny bit yourself.
The both of you were pretty new to this whole “relationship” thing, but it was always kind of sweet how he always asked about anything he wanted to do first- even holding your hand! The two of you had been cuddling at night for a while. Of course, the rest of the party questioned it, but you just said it was to conserve warmth.
Nobody ever questioned that, but Scarla always gave Salgexicon a look that said, “you neeeeeeeeerd, being all squishy and lovey-dovey” You two always ignored it, but Salgexicon always seemed a bit flustered for a few minutes after that. It was absolutely adorable.
You and Salgexicon went about setting up your usual bed, which was literally just both of your bed rolls smushed together. You laid down and Salgexicon basically fell on you, rolling you over and pulling you close, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You giggled, batting his face away gently. “Oh, stop it, you goober,” You giggled.
“Never,” Salgexicon said. “I feel like I’m forgetting something, though. You, cuddles, bed roll…” He trailed off, squinting in concentration.
He snapped his fingers, a satisfied look appearing onto his face. “Of course- the protective bubble!”
He mumbled a few words in a language you didn’t understand and you felt the familiar, warm feeling of his magic wash over you. A soft, almost transparent, red bubble appeared, encasing the entire party easily and some more space. Some of the clouds above you were shoved to the side, the bubble altering their course. In its doing so, it exposed the stars.
You had always liked the stars. They shined with that beautiful, otherworldly light that felt like it could encase you whole, burning away all of your worries and fears. It was like Salgexicon’s magic- pure and whole.
You sighed happily, settling back into Salgexicon’s arms. He hummed, raising an eyebrow as he glanced up. “You like the stars?” He asked, nuzzling your hair.
You hummed in agreement. “Always have,” You mumbled, a smile gracing your face.
Salgexicon smiled, pressing a kiss to your hair. You felt his lips move, mouthing words you couldn’t make any sense of, and the clouds parted some more. The stars were beautifully bright, shining like diamonds on black velvet-so soft and yet so vivid.
You grinned, turning your head to press a kiss to Salgexicon’s cheek. “Thank you, Salgexicon,” You mumbled, smiling softly.
Salgexicon blushed, burying his face in your shoulder and mumbling a soft “No problem…”
He was smiling- you could tell. He was so sweet; he would often do small things like this that he knew would make you happy. Neither of you were big on the ginormous gestures of affection, so you settled for small gifts. Whenever he did something like this, though, you couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with adoration and affection.
Salgexicon fell asleep before you did. You felt his breathing slow and his eyes drift shut, his body relaxing as he drifted off. You were drowsy as well, but less so than him. He’d been smacking mimics away from the party for the entire day; you were surprised he hadn’t passed out when he hit the bed roll.
You focused on his slow, steady breathing and found yourself drifting off, your eyes drifting shut. The stars winked overhead, glimmering as the two of you slept, wrapped in each other’s embrace.
hi i just wanted to say i adored the fic! I hc him to be a dork so you wrote him perfectly in my eyes >:) I know you just posted the fic but I want to request another if you don't mind. Salgexicon and co stop at a hotel for the nighy but *dramatic gasp* there's only one bed! So him and his crush share the bed :)
Ohohohohohoh >:D Anon, I love you
You groaned, limping along the dark, dirt highway and wincing with every step. Your feet were killing you. You and the rest of the party had been walking this highway the entire day, going up and down hills and around pits, and you all were ready to drop. Well, everyone except Bessie. The undead minotaur had yet to show any signs of exhaustion, instead staring ahead into the dark night with a look that could make a tarrasque drop dead. “Are we going to stop any time soon?” You wearily asked Salgexicon.
The sorcerer was using his staff as a walking cane, leaning on it heavily with each step. “Probably. If there isn’t an inn or something up ahead, we’re camping again,” He said, muffling a yawn.
You could see his dark eyebags contrasting against his pale skin, still visible in the dim light. “Salgexicon, if we don’t stop soon, I’m going to use your skin as a blanket,” Scarla warned her brother. From the look on her face, she probably wasn’t kidding.
“My feet are goin’ ta fall off,” Skurdgvrm complained.
“Just a few more minutes, I promise,” Salgexicon pleaded, stifling yet another yawn.
There was a lot of grumbling, but you all trudged on, forcing your eyes to stay open. You rounded a hill and stopped, shock on your face. “Guys, look at this…” You said, your shock giving way to glee.
Salgexicon and the others followed you and stopped, obviously processing the situation. Finally, Scarla let out a whoop of joy. You had finally found an inn! “Race you there!” She called, taking off in the direction of the house.
You wanted to run, you really did, but you were sure your feet would never forgive you if you did. However, Skurdgvrm’s feet weren’t as reserved. He took off, his axe swinging dangerously on his back. “…I’m not running,” Salgexicon said, glancing at you warily.
“Me neither,” You replied.
The both of you looked at each other before glancing back at Bessie, who was staring down at both of you. You felt a sense of dread overtake you; you knew Bessie probably wouldn’t hurt you, but she was still terrifying. “I’m…I’m just gonna go…” You said, gesturing to the inn.
“Yeah, me too…” Salgexicon said, glancing back at the minotaur.
Bessie snorted, brushing past the two of you and heading for the inn, which Scarla and Skurdgvrm had already entered. You and Salgexicon made your way over there, going slowly so your feet wouldn’t get even more bruised. When you entered the lobby, you saw Scarla haggling with some poor innkeep, who was staring at Bessie with terror on their face while Skurdgvrm looked around. “C’mon, just for the night! We’ll be out of your hair in the morning,” Scarla said.
“I-I’m sorry, but I c-can’t,” The innkeep stuttered, trying not to meet Bessie’s eyes.
“Why not? We’ll pay for the night,” Salgexicon asked, limping forward.
Bessie snorted and the innkeep let out a terrified meep, jumping a bit. Scarla and Salgexicon shot each other a smirk; they were thinking of some sort of scheme, for sure. “If you don’t, Bessie’ll be upset,” Scarla said, pouting.
“And when she gets upset, she tends to rage. I’m afraid, if she did, you wouldn’t have much of an inn anymore,” Salgexicon warned, trying to look trustable.
“Ya, and ye probably wouldn’t have much of a face,” Skurdgvrm added, finally piping up.
The innkeep glanced up, their face sheet-white. Bessie stared down at him, her red eyes glaring. “Uh, h-how many rooms would you l-like to book?” The innkeep asked nervously, pulling out a small book from their pocket.
“Three, thank you very much,” Scarla said, looking very self-assured.
The innkeep plucked three keys off of a ring, their hands trembling and making the metal ding together. Scarla took one, Salgexicon took the second, and Bessie took the third. She gave you all a look that said, “My room,” And walked off, ducking to avoid hitting her head on the ceiling beams.
“Welp, I’m going to go be dead. Skurdgvrm, you get the couch,” Scarla said, grabbing Skurdgvrm by the arm and dragging him off. Skurdgvrm looked a bit disgruntled, but anything was better than the ground.
“Shall we?” You asked.
“Yes please. I can’t wait to pass out,” Salgexicon groaned, leading the way with unsteady feet.
You felt a pang of pity go through your heart. Salgexicon never liked walking all that much. You used to have a cart with a horse, but it had been taken by robbers some time ago. Now you all had to walk everywhere, and you knew Salgexicon didn’t like it one bit.
Salgexicon opened the door and walked through, only to pause in the doorway. “Uhhh…” He said.
“What? What is it?” You asked, peering inside.
Oh. Oh no. Instead of two beds, like you had expected, there was only the one. “Oh,” You said.
“Do we want to do anything about this or..?” Salgexicon asked, still in the way.
“No. That poor innkeep looked like they were going to faint. Besides, I can take the floor,” You said, pushing Salgexicon inside and locking the door behind you.
Salgexicon turned, a frown on his face. “No, I’ll take the floor, it’s no problem,” He said, already taking off his pack.
“No, you’re not. When’s the last time you slept in a bed, Salgexicon? I’m fine with the floor,” You said, crossing your arms.
Salgexicon frowned at you, poking you gently with his staff. “No, Y/N, when’s the last time you slept in a bed? Exactly- I’m taking the floor,” He said stubbornly, crossing his own arms.
“Like hell you are! Listen, how about we just share the bed?” You said, frustrated.
Both of you paused as you took in what you had just said. It wasn’t necessarily a bad idea, but your mind raced as you thought about it. You and Salgexicon. In bed. Together.
Oh no. What a horrible time to remember your crush on the sorcerer. “…Good idea,” Salgexicon said, somewhat begrudgingly.
There was a small blush on his cheeks, making you blush as well. You shucked off your armour and climbed into the bed, repressing a groan of relief. Compared to the ground, this bed was heaven.
You smushed your face into the pillow, letting out a happy sigh. A few moments later, you felt Salgexicon climb in beside you. You peeked to the side to see Salgexicon laying down, a sleepy smile on his face. He was wearing his normal undershirt and pants (which was good- you weren’t sure your heart would have been able to take it if he had taken anything else off), and had, thankfully, taken his boots off.
“Glad we’re sharing?” You mumbled, turning over onto your side, facing him.
Salgexicon’s eyes shot to yours and he blushed. “Y-yeah…” He muttered.
You nodded, feeling sleep beginning to overtake you. You mumbled a barely coherent, “Goodnight,” before you finally passed out.
✴💙✴
You blinked groggily, shifting as something pulled you from your lovely, lovely sleep. It was still dark out- you couldn’t have been asleep for more than an hour or so. You went to roll over, but a weight around your waist stopped you from doing so. “Wha..?” You mumbled sleepily, peering over your shoulder to see what was wrapped around you.
Salgexicon mumbled in his sleep, his arm around your waist tightening as he pulled you closer against his chest. Your mouth dropped open and you blushed furiously, your eyes wide. There was no way you were getting back to sleep now.
He sighed and rested his cheek against your neck, totally oblivious in his unconscious state. His breath made you shudder and you mentally cursed yourself. Why, oh why did you suggest sharing the bed?! This was just plain torture!
You felt him smile softly and you couldn’t help but smile yourself. His soft, slow breaths were lulling you back to sleep, your eyes drooping as the fog of sleep slowly spread across your mind. You settled back down, pulling the blanket over both yourself and Salgexicon; you didn’t want either of you to be cold.
Salgexicon made a little happy noise and you swore your heart melted. You then slipped back into dreamland, where you had a dream about one sorcerer in particular.
✴💙✴
“WAKE UP YOU TWO!” Scarla bellowed, bursting into your room. “SKURDGVRM AND BESSIE ARE ALREADY U-”
You shot up, torn away from your dream and Salgexicon jumped back, falling off of the bed with a cry of surprise. “Scarla, what the-!” He asked furiously, pulling himself off of the floor.
You looked him over out of the corner of your eye, worried that he may have gotten hurt. He wasn’t, but he had the cutest bedhead. Scarla just stared at you, a look of shock on her face. You blushed, suddenly realising exactly what Scarla was thinking. “Did you two-”
“No!” You shrieked, throwing a pillow at the witch, cutting off her sentence.
“Just asking! Anyways, hurry up or we’ll leave you two here- Bessie and Skurdgvrm are already up and rarin to go!” She said, still smiling deviously.
She shot Salgexicon a lopsided grin before prancing away, leaving the two of you alone. The both of you got dressed quickly, narrowly making it in time to avoid being left behind by the party. You set off on the road again, ignoring how Scarla snickered and the blush that was painted across your cheeks.
Hi, you remember the Ashamed Anon™? Welp it's me again.
I've been going through some tough stuff, so would you mind writing for Salgexicon comforting the reader after witnessing some weird shit? I just need a hug, preferably from the big wizard guy.
Anyway, I hope you're alright dear author. Have a good day/night whatever is more suitable for your timezone.

I MANAGED TO FINISH THIS TODAY AND I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!
Quick TW for blood
You repressed a shiver, wiping your hands on your clothes for the tenth time in the past three minutes. They still felt gross. They still felt dirty. You and the party had been fighting a ginormous dragon because it had been terrorising a nearby city and was just generally being a jerk. Skurdgvrm had managed to slay it by slicing its stomach open, but you had been unfortunate enough to be right beneath it when he did so.
Blood and intestinal matter had gotten all over you, covering you from head to toe. At that moment, you had almost vomited. You still felt like puking your guts up now.
You had managed to find a stream to clean your clothes and yourself in, but you could swear you still felt it. The slick, dark sliminess of blood and whatever had been in its intestines oozing down your face and arms. The sharp scent of blood, the coppery-iron odour so strong that you swore you could taste it when you breathed, like how a snake could taste the air for prey with its tongue. You shuddered, wiping your hands yet again.
You were on the night watch, now, staring into the darkness as the fire in front of you crackled. Salgexicon was only a few feet from you, Scarla on the opposite side of the fire with Bessie and Skurdgvrm between them. You wanted to wake him a bit early for his watch just to hear his soothing voice, to help chase away the nightmares you would undoubtedly have.
Regardless of your wishes, you let the sorcerer sleep. The battle had taken a lot out of him, maybe even more so than it had out of you, and it would be unfair if you woke him early because of your… your silly fears. The fire cast shadows over your body, throwing the shadows on your body into a stark contrast of the warm glow of the flames. The shadows remind you of the dark blood of the dragon and you couldn’t help but whimper, shaking your body to get rid of that disgusting feeling that just kept coming back.
Salgexicon rolled over to face you, light bags under his eyes and a look of concern on his face. “Y/N? Are you alright?” He asked, his voice surprisingly clear for someone that had just been asleep.
“Y-Yeah, I’m fine. Why’re you up?” You replied, internally mortified at the idea that you had woken him up prematurely.
“Couldn’t sleep,” He replied, studying your face.
Well then. A small glow of warmth flickered in your chest, relief pulsating in your heart that you hadn’t woken him up. “But still, are you okay?” Salgexicon asked cautiously.
You nodded, tearing your eyes away from his face and into the fire. “It’s just been a long day,” You replied.
Salgexicon sighed. “How about I take my watch early? You get some sleep now,” He offered, pulling himself out of his bedroll and stretching silently.
“Are you sure? You just said you haven’t gotten any sleep-” “I’m sure, Y/N. Now, get some sleep or I’ll have to magic you to sleep,” Salgexicon interrupted you, a charming smile on his face.
You blushed a bit and nodded, getting up from your spot. As you did so, a sudden wave of exhaustion hit you, making you double take. Maybe it was a good thing that Salgexicon had taken over when he did.
You stumbled over to a small patch of unoccupied grass, spreading out your bedroll and laying down. It was cold, sort of like how you had been when drenched in the dragon’s blood, and it made you shudder. You weren’t going to get any comforting sleep tonight.
┠✮🌌✮┨
Blood. Blood, dark, oozing everywhere. Over your skin, into your clothes, through your fingers and back again. Making you feel like screaming and crying and throwing yourself into a fire just to get it off of you. You stared into the darkness, breathing heavily as the blood flowed over you from seemingly nowhere. Two red eyes stared back.
You shot up, your eyes wide with terror and you frantically checked yourself over, your breathing quick and frantic. Salgexicon’s head shot up, his hazel eyes alert. He relaxed when he saw that it was just you, but then he noticed how scared you looked.
Your hands were shaking, your eyes wide as you trembled, staring at your bed roll with a look of horror. “Y/N, are you alright?” He called, loud enough to be heard but soft enough to not wake anyone up.
Your head snapped up, your eyes still wide. You didn’t relax when you saw him- you couldn’t. Every muscle in your body was tense, anticipating some kind of threat that wasn’t there to make itself known. “I-I’m fine,” You stuttered, trying and miserably failing to make yourself sound just as fine as you claimed to be.
Salgexicon frowned, getting up and walking over to you. You held your breath in a pathetic and futile attempt to stop your trembling. He kneeled down, taking one of your hands softly. It still trembled, even in his gentle grasp. “I don’t think you’re ‘fine’, Y/N. Can you tell me what’s wrong?” He said, his tone kind.
You couldn’t lie to him; he saw right through you. You sighed shakily, your finger slowly curling around Salgexicon’s hand. “Remember when we fought the dragon?” You asked softly, not looking him in the eye.
Salgexicon nodded, saying, “Yeah, I remember.”
“Well… when I got covered in the ick… I think it messed me up more than I realised,” You mumbled, feeling embarrassed and oh so vulnerable.
Salgexicon said, “When I saw you like that… I could have sworn you were going to cry. I didn’t say anything about it because I didn’t want to intrude.”
You nodded, your breathing slower but no less shaky. You felt like you were going to cry now. “Can…can I have a hug?” You asked weakly.
“Of course, Y/N,” Salgexicon said, opening his arms and wrapping them around you.
He had his cloak on, the dark fabric wrapping around you like a blanket, heated by the fire and Salgexicon’s own body heat. He smelled nice- like pine and cider and there was just a wisp of a smell you couldn’t put a name to. You wrapped your arms around him, feeling better already.
Salgexicon always had that type of an effect on you, but never to this extent. He had never held you close enough to let you hear his heart beat, to let you press your cheek against his chest and breathe in his scent. You could feel the fear draining out of you, being replaced with an overwhelming feeling of affection. This… this was… nice.
“Can I do anything else for you?” Salgexicon mumbled, his voice soft and low.
You shook your head, feeling a smile emerge on your face. “Can we hug for a bit more?” You asked, your calmness (and maybe your affection) overflowing into your voice.
Salgexicon nodded, setting back as you leaned into him. You could swear he was smiling.
Bro BRO istg the new salgexicon fic made my heart flutter I love this sorcerer and how you write him so much??? Uuh may I make a new request? How about some salgexicon x s/o angst? I'll give you free reign on it just as long as you make it hurt >:]
Of course! Buckle up, this is gonna hurt >:D
CW for mentions of death, blood, wounds, pain, crying, allusions to torture
You wrenched open the door and repressed a scream of anger. He wasn’t here. Why wasn’t he here. Salgexicon and the party had been kidnapped and you had been worrying your head off and then some. You had managed to rescue most of them, and most of them had gone to a nearby town, save Scarla, who stayed behind. She stayed behind because you just couldn’t find Salgexicon.
Several horrible thoughts ran through your head as you slammed the door shut, running to the next one. Was he hurt? Had he been tortured? Oh Gods, was he-
You stopped your thought right there, before it could mutate into some kind of nightmare. Regardless, it twisted around in your mind, ugly and dark. You couldn’t help but follow it, going down too many rabbit holes. …could he be dead? Could he have… could he have died?
You swallowed your fear and wrenched the door open, defaulting to a fighting stance. Your heart leapt into your throat and you choked back a cry. There was Salgexicon. A wave of relief washed over you but then an even bigger wave of panic slapped you back into reality.
He was slumped over on the floor, blood dried to the side of his head and his face. He took shallow breaths, each once sounding more and more like a death rattle with every passing moment. His robes were stained even darker than they originally were, reeking with the iron-y scent of blood. You couldn’t help it- your eyes blurred with tears. “Salgexicon!” You cried, rushing forward and cradling his head.
His eyes didn’t open, but it seemed like his face lit up. “Y…Y/N?” He coughed, his voice weak.
Your heart tugged painfully. “Yes, it’s me, I’m right here,” You said, cradling him close to you and desperately trying to keep your voice steady.
His eyes flickered open, hazel eyes searching for your own. “Y-Y/N… I knew… you would come…” He said wearily, smiling weakly.
You choked back a sob. “I’m g-going to get you out of here, okay? But you need to help me get you up,” You said, losing your composure for a split second.
Salgexicon nodded, hissing with pain at the movement. Your hands were shaky as you helped him up, hauling him to his feet and wrapping one of his arms around your shoulders for extra balance. He stumbled a bit, leaning heavily on you as he closed his eyes, pain written across his face. You bit your lip, trying your best not to cry. “L…Lead the way,” Salgexicon said, giving you a pained half-smile.
You nodded. You took a step with Salgexicon and he sucked in a gasp of pain, his legs trembling. “Nono, don’t go too fast, we can go slow,” You reassured him, your hands trembling as you tried to support him.
Salgexicon nodded, gritting his teeth. He took another step, this one only a tiny bit more steady. You wanted to cry.
≪ ◦ ❖ ◦ ≫
After far too long, you finally exited the fortress, the glaring sun making you squint your eyes. “Salgexicon!” Scarla cried, running over to her brother.
Salgexion looked up, smiling weakly. “Hey, Scarla,” He said.
Scarla pulled him off of you, inspecting him for wounds. Salgexicon made a sound of distress, instinctively leaning back to you and panic flashing in his eyes. You were immediately there, holding him up and holding back tears. “Ohh, what did they do to you?” Scarla murmured.
Salgexicon shook his head, gritting his teeth. Scarla guided you and Salgexicon down to a softer patch of grass and laid him down. He hissed in pain, frowning at nothing in particular when Scarla pressed tenderly against his abdomen. You bit your lip and held his hand tenderly, rubbing your thumb over his knuckles in a small effort to be soothing.
Scarla inspected him for a moment, poking and prodding at the areas she thought to be injured and those that weren’t. Each sound of pain from the sorcerer made your heart shrivel up a bit more, tears threatening to spill with each pained gasp. Salgexicon clutched your hand tightly as Scarla bound his wounds, so many unspoken words transferring through only his grip.
Scarla sighed, sitting back. “That’s the best I can do. We used up our last health potion a while ago, and the next town’s a few days over. That…That’ll have to do until then,” She said, a pained look on her face.
Salgexicon smiled, trying and failing to look comforting. His smile looked more pained than anything. “That’s fine, I can last until then,” He said softly, breathing shallowly in an attempt to not cause any more unnecessary pain on his part.
Scarla looked unsure. “Salgexicon-” “No buts, Scarla. Now, go find somewhere to sleep. You look like you need it,” He cut her off, using his Older Sibling authority to order her around.
She huffed in annoyance, but Salgexicon was right. She looked awful. Her hair was dishevelled and there were humongous bags under her eyes, standing out in a glaring contrast to her pale skin. However, there was no doubt you looked worse. You had barely slept since the party had been kidnapped, and you hadn’t slept when you had found that Salgexicon had been separated from the rest of the party.
The weight of your exhaustion slammed into you like a boulder and you blinked rapidly, both to try to keep your eyes open and to keep the tears welling in your eyes from falling. Scarla got up and threw herself down on a patch of grass more than a few yards from where you were, far enough for privacy on your part but still in eyesight. She didn’t even bother to put down her bed roll before closing her eyes and rolling over, crossing her arms. Within seconds, she was asleep.
You couldn't sleep. You hadn’t even tried, but you knew you couldn’t. The worry inside of you was eating away at your insides, some residing adrenaline keeping your eyes from drooping all the way closed. Your grip on Salgexicon’s hand tightened unconsciously, your body trembling as you tried to keep yourself together.
Salgexicon looked over at you, concern etched across his face. His face that you could have never seen again. “Y/N? Are you alright?” He asked softly, concerned for you, despite his own injuries.
You couldn’t help it. Tears started to roll down your face as you looked down at his hand, which you were still holding. “I-I was so scared…” You mumbled, your voice thick with emotion.
“Scared of what?” Salgexicon asked. You could hear the trace amount of panic in his voice that he failed to cover up, along with some vague amount of pain.
“I… I thought I lost you…” You sniffled, picking his hand up and pressing a shaky kiss to his knuckles, closing your eyes.
“But you didn’t,” Salgexicon said, his voice soothing to your panicked mind.
You didn’t say anything. You could only just kneel at his side, holding his hand and shaking like a leaf in a hurricane. You wanted to sob, to pull him close to you and never let go, but that would only run the risk of hurting him further.
You felt something touch your cheek and your eyes flew open. Salgexicon was holding your cheek, brushing away your tears with his free hand while the hand you were holding wrapped around your own hands. “I’m right here, YN, and I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon,” He said, his voice full of love.
That was when you broke down. You started sobbing, curling in on yourself as you wept, hard and ugly. You clutched Salgexicon’s hand like you were dying, holding it close to your chest in some pale attempt to find comfort. Salgexicon’s hand never left your cheek, still wiping away the tears that flowed from your eyes.
Despite it all, you couldn’t help but be relieved. Salgexicon was safe. Salgexicon was alive. Right now, that was all that you wanted. It was all you wanted, and you were so thankful that had been what you got.
