6, 23, 46 and 49 for Baezil!
6. What were they like at school? Did they enjoy it? Did they finish? What level of higher education did they reach? What subjects did they enjoy? Which did they hate?
Baezil was hardworking and very focused, likely even being one of the top students of his class. He very much enjoyed school and he was the weird kid who was excited about taking exams for some reason.
He finished all his schooling and then whatever else was needed to become a doctor. Baezil also very likely took additional classes in Kaas City because he just loves learning so goddamn much and maybe it was offered and he was all “hell yeah I’m gonna learn this!” But not in those words or with that expressive of enthusiasm.
Baezil enjoyed maths and chemistry as well as literature. He greatly disliked gym/sports and visual arts – both leaving him embarrassed for various reasons.
23. Do they have a good memory? Short term or long term? Are they good with names? Or faces?
He’s getting on in age so his memory isn’t what it used to be. He’s good with names but doesn’t always put the right face to it, oddly enough. Baezil can mix the order of events up, too. He’s not too concerned about this overall as his knowledge of plants and almost photogenic memory of holonovels he’s read keeps him at ease.
46. Do they make a good first impression? Does their first impression reflect them accurately? How do they introduce themselves?
He makes an average first impression. Baezil’s moderately shy and sometimes other Chiss make him a little nervous for it – partially because of his non-regulation hair and now his annoying habit of occasionally skipping a shave. This all likely makes him look a bit frazzled or unkempt. In reality he just likes his hair long and he occasionally likes to look “rugged”, because in reality he isn’t at all.
To non-Chiss he may be more brusque on first meetings as he still has quite a bit of a superiority complex in regards to Chiss V Other Races. He still has to remind himself to put that away.
49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?
There isn’t an object per sé, but baking cookies is a somewhat special little thing for him. His daughter Brawl once asked him if he’d try and make some cookies. He was confused about the request but made an attempt. They were awful but he tried again and they were still awful but a little better.
He doesn’t bake very often but over the years his cookies have become – mediocre. They’re never the same each time, though.
