I think the worst thing that Rick did while writing The Son of Neptune, is that he made Percy forget Sally too. Like. The boy broke out of the Lotus Hotel because he remembered his mom. His mom is the reason he goes back to the mortal world even tho he knows he'll end up attacked. And he remembers the girl he met at 12 but not the mother who raised him? He is the biggest mama's boy in the history of all fiction, and you want me to believe that he would remember Annabeth over Sally Motherfucking Jackson who used a shotgun in the battle of Manhattan???????????? Bffr

by now, jenna knew what sally was in town to do, but it wasn’t mutual. talks of jenna’s life had been rare and short. basic tales and white lies to draw her in without giving herself a way. a witch in the company of a hunter was never going to be safe, that much she already knew. “what do you mean you think you found something?” she asked, trying to come across as nonchalant as she usually did. apathetic, even. “something spooky or what?”

'i guess. i mean, thanks for that. i just sometimes feel like i am being weird and righteous about it,' that might be his imposter syndrome. it might even be his paranoia. as much as finley claimed not to care about what people thought of him, it wasn't always that easy. he didn't want anyone believing he was an elitist, that he considered himself better than everyone. this all stemmed from within him, of course, but that didn't make him feel better. 'i'm totally overthinking it,' finley concludes, sighing as he leans back in his chair, giving a small grin up to sally. 'i mean, it was one article on the onion. right? i just have t'move on,' he didn't want to be one of those celebrities that obsessed over his publicity online. a few notes about sally

her name at birth was samantha billing. she's twenty-five, but nobody can put an age on her.

her accent is put on, she speaks with a dramatic 'posh' british accent, but if you catch her in her most vulnerable moments, you'll hear the ghost of a london accent.

her mother knows she's no longer in the convent in france (yes, the lyrics of her song are mostly true, it was written for her by a musician in the klub after hearing her story). she doesn't know where sally is, she doesn't care.

she falls in love at least once a night; she wants to feel wanted and cared for, even if it's faux.

she's a wonderful singer, but not as amazing as she thinks in her head; afterall, she's singing in an underground club in germany and nowhere grand and phenomenal!
