incoming case . . . everyone’s flawed. at least you know it and aren’t super weird or righteous about it.
'i guess. i mean, thanks for that. i just sometimes feel like i am being weird and righteous about it,' that might be his imposter syndrome. it might even be his paranoia. as much as finley claimed not to care about what people thought of him, it wasn't always that easy. he didn't want anyone believing he was an elitist, that he considered himself better than everyone. this all stemmed from within him, of course, but that didn't make him feel better. 'i'm totally overthinking it,' finley concludes, sighing as he leans back in his chair, giving a small grin up to sally. 'i mean, it was one article on the onion. right? i just have t'move on,' he didn't want to be one of those celebrities that obsessed over his publicity online. 'i'm over it. thanks for talking me through it. now maybe we can get back to work,' @frightes.

" aw, gus, listen. "
it's one, two sitting half-hops, half-slides that draws her closer to him. her arm slinks around his shoulders. " i know it's tough, being out on your lonesome, i remember being in the same spot you are now, but if you come along with us, you'll have a family! "
she thinks they're nearly one hundred strong. she thinks about tommy's endless optimism, and eddie's quieter sort of leadership, jack's entrepreneurial spirit, and lola's dry wit, and ollie's compassion. if there's anybody who would understand august, it's them.
" next freight comes through at six, we're all gonna meet there. take a chance, will you? "

I.
sally is 100% the reason why percy is such a hardcore feminist fuck the tlt musical having percy be sexist. not my percy like when he was younger, whenever gabe would abuse the two, either verbally or physically, that night sally would sit him down and explain thats not how you treat a woman, only weak men do that, etc.
II.
sally was the one that suggested he should go by percy after being bullied in school when he went by perseus.
III.
sally is the first person he comes out to and the second person he opens up to about tartarus, the first being chiron ( though originally it was unwillingly and chiron was the one to suggest he talked to sally about it )
IV.
i would like to believe that percy was first sent off to a boarding school not because of an immediate result of him getting kicked out of a nearby public school for behaviour problems but because of the first time percy tried fighting gabe after he saw him hit sally. homie went ape shit
every time i think i have a handle on barry the show switches it up adds more nuances more complications more angles....... it's like DARING you to have a complete judgement a final verdict oh get out of my head bill 🚬
[ oversized teddy ] to gift my muse a giant teddy bear. ( from miss evers, to sally! and yes, she stole it from a guest what about it )

sally’s dressed up for once. beautiful, ornate drop earrings and a mostly sheer white blouse, a pair of nice black pumps with a sweet black mini skirt and her choker. she feels beautiful. for once her eyeliner isn’t smeared and her mascara is in tact. ( her relationship with hazel had changed a lot about her life at the cortez. sometimes she’s even happy, like now. she’s in the present for the first time in years. ) she smiles when the other woman hands her a giant teddy bear, a delighted, childlike giggle skittering past her lips as she squeezes it tightly in her arms. she buries her face in the back of the bear’s neck, blush rising to her cheeks as tears begin to swell in her eyes from joy. she hastily and covertly smears her eyeliner wiping away a tear and sets her bear down on the bed. ( so much for that neat eyeliner. ) “hazel.” she says, sincere emotion written on her face. “i didn’t get you anything...” she admits, embarrassed. “i was hoping i could take you for a drink instead -- is that okay?”
by now, jenna knew what sally was in town to do, but it wasn’t mutual. talks of jenna’s life had been rare and short. basic tales and white lies to draw her in without giving herself a way. a witch in the company of a hunter was never going to be safe, that much she already knew. “what do you mean you think you found something?” she asked, trying to come across as nonchalant as she usually did. apathetic, even. “something spooky or what?”
