Fall into Change

I am excited over the rich hues and old Hollywood glam shown recently at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week not only in clothing but especially in hair. Fall is my favorite season and that time of year when everyone is looking for a change in their hair. Over processed from the sun, bleach and chlorine of summer most are lacking luster and are in major need of protein and moisture.  Now that it is not as hot and humid fall allows for more structure in the shape of the cut and as our tan fades we need to tone down the brightness of our hair allowing warmer richer tones. 

This year at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week hair trends brought back the classic looks with a modern twist, think film noir, simplicity with an edge.  While classic looks have always been my favorite, ensuring you won’t regret hair decisions when you look pictures 20 years from now, I still suggest evolving your image with current trends and your age.  Aveda’s fall collection is Heartlands featuring colors such as toasted grains, winter peach and copper fields. All feature rich harvest colors with variations to match different skin complexions.  In completing your style, matte finish is no longer, hair doused in shine was shown throughout the collections.  Using a shine serum or spray will accentuate the glamour of your cut and reflect shine to complete your look.
