My Wayhaven Detective Layla Nejim is a well known workaholic, but on the rare occasion she does have a day off she likes to dress up and go dancing.
Just imagine Unit Bravos reaction, when Detective Nejim is called in for an emergency at the station and she shows still wearing the same outfit she went dancing in, or Doug for once not absorbed in his phone, staring in surprise at the normally casually dresses Layla, giving him a hurried greeting all decked out, before sprinting off to the locker room to change 😂
Bring out those red cherry lips and dance the night away wearing a red satin dress. Don’t forget the most important item of the night! A good pair of silver strap heels 👠 no it shouldn’t be red. Accessorise with silver glitter ✨ nails, a little charm necklace and a blue sapphire statement bracelet. Now the moon and star earrings are optional. 🤭

TORTILLA STACKS WITH SAVORY MINCE INGREDIENTS: 500 g minced meat 1 Tbls olive oil 1 onion, finely chopped 1 red pepper, chopped 1 Tbls garlic, crushed 2 Tbls tomato paste 1 3/4 cup kidney beans 5 tortillas 1 cup cheese, grated Heat oil in frying pan, cook onion, garlic and pepper until tender. Add the mince and cook till browned. Add tomato paste and kidney beans. Cook until minced meat is done. Adjust seasoning. Place one tortilla at the bottom of a cake tin, add some mince and sprinkle with cheese. Repeat layers 4 times. Place in the oven till cheese has melted. Cut into wedges. Serve warm! Ya know, It’s pretty easy to assume you know someone by the pictures they allow you to see. In all honestly, I don’t care how my photos are interpreted, as long as you can see the life in the moment.
Don't you just hate it when a promising dinner at your favorite restaurant gets cancelled because all the seats are fully booked and you failed to make reservations beforehand? What if you did call to make reservations but when you get there, the clueless receptionist fails to find your name or your reservation at all? This has happened to me so many times and it really makes me angry when the night gets spoiled just because of a missed reservation. Thankfully, the Philippines is now catching up to the rest of the world when it comes to restaurant reservations and we now have a way to make sure that our lunch or dinner plans go as scheduled.
Eat Out Manila is an online reservations system for restaurants that comes bundled with a mobile application and a website where diners can instantly reserve seats online or through their smartphones. Armed with the promise to make reserving tables easier and more convenient for both restaurants and diners, Eat Out Manila aims to progressively change the way Filipinos dine in restaurants. With today's smartphones and tablets, I always find it easier and more convenient to work, make bookings, and get information over the internet instead of making inquiries through the phone, so why not do the same for restaurant reservations? I wanted to find out more about this so I headed over to Chihuahua Mexican Grill at Bonifacio Global City for Eat Out Manila's media launch.
Chihuahua Mexican Grill & Margarita Bar is not just the venue for the night's event but is also one of the over 110 restaurants that be accessed through Eat Out Manila's website and mobile app. One can simply go to their webpage at www.eatoutmanila.com or download their app on Google Play or the App Store and they can immediately make reservations for their desired restaurants in a jiffy.
Chihuahua Mexican Grill is a fast-casual dining restaurant that serves Mexican staples such as tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and others. I'm not really that acquainted with Mexican food and it was my first time to visit this restaurant.
I have no idea why Charlie Sheen has a hot sauce named after him so I found this really funny.
We were given some orange-flavored Margaritas to start the night and these were quite good with just a small kick to it.
Eat Out Manila co-founder Iñaki Lamata went up and demonstrated how the Eat Out Manila app works. I first met him at Blogapalooza 2014 a few months ago where they also introduced the app to the public. It only takes 58 seconds to make an online reservation with any of the participating restaurants so this is definitely much easier than having to look for the restaurant's phone number and having to dictate your name, date, and schedule to the restaurant secretary who may not even get the correct details. Here is how the app works:
After downloading the app on your Android or Apple phone or tablet, simply register with your email or Facebook account and you can start using the app. Look for your favorite restaurants on the list and you may even find some great deals and discounts along the way.
I wanted to make a reservation for Todd English Food Hall at SM Aura Premiere so I just clicked on the restaurant. The app lists several information about Todd English including its cuisine, operating hours, location, and even its menu. Just click on the "Set Date" to choose your preferred schedule, then choose the time slot and the number of persons going.
That's it! It's as easy as that! A confirmation message is flashed on the app and an email is also sent to the registered user. In case you want to edit some details of your reservation, you can always just open the app and make the necessary changes without any penalty. There is no fee for using the app so this service is totally free for the user. You can even make changes if you are running late for your scheduled slot, or cancel it altogether if you decide not to continue. However, if a user reaches three "no-shows", Eat Out Manila will suspend that account to prevent fake or prank reservations.
Eat Out Manila has many other expansion plans ahead. They are forging a tie-up with Uber and will also be putting a payment system for tickets and other reservations. Many other countries have already adopted to online reservation systems and very few people there make calls anymore, so this is the vision that the founders of Eat Out Manila have for our country as well.
After the presentation, it was now time for dinner and games! Chihuahua presented to us a sampler of their Mexican dishes. I got into the groove by wearing this big Mexican hat!
I particularly liked the Quesadilla (solo-P195 / grande-P375) which was soft and meaty even without the dips and toppings.
The Burrito (10"-P165 / 12"-P245) was also quite filling with loads of ingredients all packed inside.
Chihuahua Mexican Grill also serves a variety of beers and alcoholic drinks to make it a more enjoyable and fun night for its evening diners.
That night was actually Salsa Night at Chihuahua Mexican Grill and as the evening progressed the crowd began to thicken with happy and excited guests who were waiting to dance the night away. A DJ and a famous dance instructor called Dr. Salsa, Roland Amoussou, were on hand to make sure everyone had a great time.
Look who happened to drop by for the festivities! Some of you know that I am a big Purefoods fan so I was pleasantly surprised to see their current import, Marqus Blakely in the house.
It was a crazy fun-filled night with the Eat Out Manila staff and we even had a few games like the Drama in the Dining Room where we had to create a skit using the Eat Out Manila app. I don't think I have acted in a skit since I was still in high school! I was not able to stay longer for Salsa Night but it was indeed a memorable evening and from now on, I will be sure to use Eat Out Manila instead of the outdated telephone.
