there were few things lillian montgomery hated more than being on her knees. especially not in front of a man, no matter how s u p e r n a t u r a l in nature. it was too submissive, there was only so much power she was willing to give up. she’d seen men shot in the head on their way to the ground, seen women give things to men that they didn’t deserve, watched generals take cities and bring citizens to their knees to demonstrate respect they hadn’t e a r n e d. it wasn’t something she took kindly to in ANY demonstration. and then, rough hands gripping her jaw and practically throwing her to the ground --- she bore her teeth in the semblance of a grin, but it was cruel & ANGRY. lily growled.
