I finished my Chel cosplay a few days ago. I'm really happy about with it. I think it's a perfect cosplay for the summer.
On my trip back home to Los Angeles, I made sure to eat all the food I have been craving during the three months I’ve been in Atlanta. There were some places that I wanted to go to but did not have the time to, but I am very happy with all the food I consumed in my six days out there.
From Top to bottom:
Home made platános and frijoles with crema and bolio
Al pastor tacos from King Taco (and a sope I devoured before I took a pic)
Agua de Jamaica
Churros rellenos- caramel and cream
Horchata salvadoreño
Taro boba and strawberry boba
Cheeseburger with extra spread and chiles from In n out
Pupusa revueltas
Might end up like the last Bitch I Know 😈😎🔥 #kendricklamar #DAMN #bompton #2100 #salvadorianprincess #prettybrown #blatina #🔥🔥🔥
If you love the idea of being right by downtown Atlanta and you want to have a variety of options for food, desserts, and even shopping, the Ponce City Market is the perfect place.
If you have been to downtown LA and gone to Grand Central Market, that is the ambiance of the first floor of Ponce City Market. It’s not as large but in terms of finding a variety of foods from varies countries, it’s similar in that aspect. Past the first two floors are other shops, offices, and businesses.
I’ve been able to have a couple of smoothies, desserts, and a chicken sandwich during my trips to Ponce City Market and it’s a guarantee I’ll be returning to try out the new food spots.
I went once during a weekday with my future sister-in-law and on a weekend with my boyfriend. It’s definitely more relaxed during the week with plenty of seating space and you’ll catch people on their laptops just relaxing. On the weekend it was a mission to find a seat to sit down. So if you’re hangry, beware.
What I tried:
Lucky Lotus [Not pictured] - Lucky Lotus is a smoothie place that makes smoothies and juices without dairy products. Both days I went it was hot and humid and the smoothies were not only yummy but cooled me down.
Hop’s Chicken- I tried their chicken biscuit, which reminded me of chick fil ‘a. But, their biscuit was no bigger than the palm of my hand. The biscuit was breaking apart quickly, but the fried chicken itself was delicious, thick, and crispy. The only downside was the cost of the chicken biscuit for what you were getting. Other than that, the honey mustard was savory, they sold Mexican coke (yaaaas), and they also had beer imported from Guatemala. (double yaaaaas!)
Saint Germain- This is a French pastry shop and oh. my. goodness. THIS place is SO good! I don’t have a real sweet tooth, but this place is definitely amazing. I tried their fruit eclair and everything about the custard, the bread, and the fruit was simply perfection.
I was excited to finally make it out here. I’d driven past it so many times during bar prep and I was always intrigued as to what was in there since the tall brick building stands out.
I’ll see you all during my next adventure.

Labor Day weekend was la mami’s Birthday 🥳 My oldest son came to visit. Usually we do some outing. It is getting harder for her to walk. This time we decided to just stay close to home and do what she wanted to do. La Mami turned 81 this year! I am so glad we got to sit around along with my oldest and just chat about our Salvi background and family in El Salvador 🇸🇻. I feel it’s important to know and love our roots as they are part of us. Some of the stories she shared I did not know. It was great hearing her talk. We got to play la lotería too! It’s been awhile and it was fun 🤩 I am grateful I get to share my mom’s Birthdays and I hope we can keep doing these for very long time. Since my oldest son was here we did a little birthday song for la mami and my youngest son who turned 26 las month. I can’t believe my baby turned 26 👵🏽 They will always be my babies. Too manny more Birthday celebrations 🥳 🙌🏾💕🥰 I can’t forget Diesel 🐈⬛ as he kept his brother’s bed warm 😂 #family #salvi #salvadorena #birthday #lamami #celebrate #familylove #pupusas #salvifood (at California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CiaohE5J3sD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
