4 19 and 26 for any of your ocs?
!!! thank you for sending these :D I’m going to use my character Salvatorre for these (specially for his main universe, a story temporarily called ‘the Portrait’ it has need a retitle for years because i took the portrait out)
4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
Salvatorre witnessed the death of his master, who was a man with powerful magic named Samhan. He took his own life, and Salvatorre could do nothing to prevent it. It bothers him deeply, of course, and it was witnessed by Genetta, the person who drove Samhan to the brink, and so she is fully aware of what occurred. No one else knows, the only thing others know is that Samhan is dead, and that Salvatorre is left to pick up the pieces and to fill his master’s place.
This profoundly affects him, as he focuses as much as he can on resurrecting his master, while also doing his best to fill his master’s role (although, he is not quite powerful enough to manage the responsibilities very well).
This is complex and difficult to explain, but all of these characters aren’t exactly human, so this is the best I can do without going on too long lol.
19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
Salvatorre’s hesitation is his biggest flaw concerning relationships. He hesitates to interact, hesitates to voice his true opinion, and often hesitates to even reveal his true self, throwing up a facade instead. He uses comedy to hide when he should focus on being more serious.
It hasn’t ruined relationships for him, but it has severely affected them. Specifically his relationship with a character named Akane is damaged, because he was unable to voice his opinions, leaving her isolated. Isolation, in turn, turns Akane darker than she would have been with a positive presence in her life.
It also affects his relationship with his master, once resurrected, as he never quite tells the truth about his own thoughts. The only relationships Salvatorre does not hesitate for are the ones with his family.
Finally, there is one relationship that can be ruined by his hesitation. Salvatorre is from a Choose-Your-Own adventure story, and in the sequel he can become the master of the protagonist (and, possibly, a love-interest). If the protagonist does not treat him in a certain way, and doesn’t break down his hesitation, he will not be there during a crucial moment. Without his presence, it is highly likely that the protagonist will die in this situation. (Although survival is possible, it is significantly more difficult without Salvatorre’s aid.)
26. How does your character behave around children?
Salvatorre adores children and while he does joke around with them, he also has a parental streak. He will look out for kids and try to teach them life lessons, although he does so without being too overbearing because he remembers what it was like to be a kid. Salvatorre is the kind of person who acts like a dad a lot, very dad-friend, but it turns more into actually being a dad when kids are present.
