in looking up K's Choice for their little blurb in the 'battle of the btvs bands' poll, I learned that lead singer Sam Bettens came out in 2019 as a trans man! look at him, he's thriving!!!!

Sam Bettens
Formerly known as [REDACTED in edit] Bettens - Lead singer of K’s Choice, came out as transgender today. One of the biggest ‘90s musicians, who had come out as a lesbian many years ago.
He was supported by his wife and children, family and friends when coming out of the last year, and this coming out to the world is amazing. He wants to be a rolemodel and spokes-person for LGBTQIA+ youth, which is great because we could use some queer role models here in Belgium.
There’s a video (only in Dutch) where he talks with a radio host on his transition and what it has meant for him throughout his life, and I really think it’ll help some people - who are accepting but just don’t understand - in seeing why or how some transitions are necessary for people, or why it’s not just a quick realisation.
