They were on a crime investigation on Christmas so their children decided to just look for them. Turns out they get taken but the king and they didn't get killed by them but Dot used her cuteness to get away with it. So here is the wholesome stuff after the crime investigation and when they are free.

Anyways, Sam and Max are watching T.V and enjoying the peace in the house until Yakko starts crying about his nightmare that he had when Max saved the kids when they first saw Sam and Max. Yakko still has nightmares about it once in awhile but not too much anymore. He always cries when the nightmare happens and it never fails. But Max always has to remind Yakko that he will protect him no matter what, and same for Sam.

Little recap:

Sam and Max were in a crime investigation and they heard that 4 children were taken hostage. Sam and Max soon found them and when they tried creating peace with the stranger to let the kids go. Max without hesitation jumped in front of the kids and took a bullet to the arm for them... Max lost a lot of blood of course but he was fine afterwards.

I'd like to think that the first time Sam and Max adopted them, Yakko (the older sibling) would get nightmares of losing his new parents that are there for him and his brother and sister.

Fact one: The second night he was adopted he got a nightmare similar to how Yakko's parents died. (I'd say that their parents died in a car crash). Yakko was only so young when he found out too.

Fact two: Sure he maybe the older sibling, but he still has some sort of PTSD when he sometimes gets into cars. So Max or Sam would have to reassure him that everything's okay. Yakko is slowly getting better at that.

Fact three: For him in order to distract himself from thinking he is in a car is to fight with his siblings, or he falls asleep in the car. It's the only thing that will calm him down.

Fact four: Max mostly comforted Yakko on those nights and so did Sam. They stayed up with Yakko, and when he finally went to bed, Yakko would ask them if they could stay with him until he falls asleep (and of course they do because they are loving like that).

Fact 5: Yakko likes hugs from Sam, mostly because it feels like there is a shield around him, Yakko likes the forehead kisses from both of his parents, and he goes to either Max or Sam for advice if Yakko needs anything.

(Bonus Fact) Sometimes, to get stuff off of Yakko's mind, he would come with his adoptive parents investigations! Yakko loves those 100% (Yakko also wants to be an investigator like his parents someday!)

That's all for now!! But these are just Headcanons!
