life doesn’t turn out the way you thought it would when you were fourteen years old
we were never gonna be normal
we were never gonna get away
after hearing about Don't Hug Me I'm Scared going to Dropout and Dropout investing in proper licensing of indie creator horror works, i think the only option from here is pretty obvious.....

“Tall man, 5’11”
[ cheesy ] for ann and giving chocolate covered strawberries, too? “Homemade, perfectly sweetened, because hey,” he chimes, jutting out a finger, “I don’t want Ann-yone… but you.”
↳ VALENTINE'S SYMBOL MEMES ↳ [ cheesy ] to tell my muse a cheesy pickup line (bonus if you include the line) + [ chocolate strawberries ] to gift my muse chocolate covered strawberries
Valentine's Day is a rather FUN holiday in Ann's eyes, despite how much commercialization and expectation can make it a stressful day for some. ( Particularly new couples in her experience and observations. ) In part, it might be due to the fact that Ann DOESN'T PLACE HEAVY EXPECTATIONS ON THE DAY. She never has whether she was in a relationship or not. Was it nice? Yes. Was it necessary? No. And she'd enjoyed spending it with friends in the past. ( Until work and her personal life had become something of one and the same before the disaster. ) Now, having survived, she finds it IMPORTANT to show the appreciation for those in her life - friend or otherwise. Small gifts of sweets and a flower to make them feel involved and seen. It's not much but it's something. She hadn't expected anything in return.
Leave it to Sam to decide to surprise her with a gift of his own. AND WITH HER WEAKNESS, CHOCOLATE COVERED FRUITS.
Her lack of expectation only makes the delight shine in her eyes that much brighter in her eyes as she accepts the gift. They aren't perfect AND SHE LOVES THAT. It isn't the cookie-cutter appearance of everything else, and they're beautiful for that. ( Not that she'd oppose either - it's the thought behind the gesture that matters most. ) There's the thought, and then there's the fact that Sam took the time and effort to HOMEMAKE chocolate strawberries. It makes her chest feel tight as she smiles.
" Sam - " Her voice pauses to not interrupt, watching the theatrics unfold when he lifts a hand to emphasize his words. Her lips part for a moment and - did he just make a pun? He did and she's well aware of that fact but for a moment it seems like her brain can't quite compute the correct response or reaction to it. No one's made a pun of her name before.
" That was terrible. " She informs him, but there's a SOFT LAUGHTER COATING her words as she shakes her head. Terrible, but it actually worked. Well, that sort of thing did seem up Sam's alley. " In all seriousness though, I can't believe you took the time to handmake these. " They looked absolutely delicious and her mouth was already watering at the thought of eating them. " Thank you, Sam. Happy Valentine's Day. " / @samuhelll
Enamoured by how bad Sam is at investigating out in the world. Awkward, zero subtlety, accidentally extremely rude, really not field agent material. Might be better to keep this guy on desk duty.
