Since this is a thing...

I see a lot of YouTubers putting out “What If They Wrote Star Wars?” videos. Since I’m a Star Wars fan on Tumblr, I thought “why not?” so...

What if I wrote the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy? 

Really, this will be a bunch of bullet points of things I would’ve put into my version of the Sequel Trilogy. I’ll keep some stuff that’s already in the Sequel Trilogy and add a spin to them.

Kylo Ren/Ben Solo has a twin sister named either Breha (after Queen Breha Organa) or Sam (from the old concept arts of Finn). She would’ve trained alongside her brother at their Uncle Luke’s Jedi Academy. She would’ve felt a shift in her brother growing until he eventually was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force and turned against the Jedi Academy students. After Ben becomes Kylo Ren and creates the Knights of Ren with other Academy students, he and the Knights of Ren destroyed the Jedi Academy as while as killed many students. The twin sister survived and lacking faith, she turned to a life of smuggling just like her dad in his youth. 

Luke Skywalker NEVER tried to kill Ben because that’s not how Luke rolls. Luke Skywalker would’ve attempted to talk to Ben, but he’d would’ve simply ignored his uncle’s concern. Luke would’ve been married a former Sith Inquisitor named Mara Jade (yes, Inquisitor because that’s a thing) and they would’ve had a child together - a son named Kane Skywalker (from “The Star Wars” graphic novel). Mara Jade would’ve died in the hands of Kylo Ren while Luke tried to save as many students as possible. Luke dropped the youngest children off on different worlds for their own protection before looking for ancient Jedi artifacts that eventually led him to the first Jedi Temple. 

Kane Skywalker would HATE Kylo Ren. With a burning passion. Kylo Ren killed his mom and he wants revenge. Kane’s hatred would have easily brought to join the covert Resistance that was fighting the First Order. 

Leia Organa-Solo would’ve created the Resistance with the authority of the New Republic through the Republic’s Strategic Information Service (SWTOR fans?). That’s why the Resistance is a clandestine organization. 

Han Solo would’ve have become a high-ranking military officer in the New Republic Navy. He and Chewbacca would still have had possession of the Millennium Falcon. 

Han and Leia WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SHITTY PARENTS! I mean, yeah, that wouldn’t have always been there for their kids since they’d be working like crazy, but they would’ve made time to spend with their kids and never would have called them “monster” behind their back.

Poe Dameron would remain the same, except as much as I like him, I would’ve killed Poe early on in the story. Sorry, Poe.

Finn would have remained the same too, minus the part where he worked sanitation. Finn would’ve been a great stormtrooper with a lot of potential. Read “Before the Awakening” for where I got this idea. He would still leave the First Order because of reasons. I can’t think of any right now other than he understands the First Order is an oppressive organization.

If I kept Rey, I would’ve made her be a lot more cautious around people and wouldn’t easily trust people. She’s not naive or star-struck by famous people like Han Solo. 

General Armitage Hux would remain the same like he was in The Force Awakens. Butting heads with Kylo Ren and everything. None of that “The Last Jedi” crap.

Captain Phasma actually does something. Anything! She’d be an actual leader that intimidates as well as inspires her men by her prowess in battle and her presence.

That’s it all I got so far.
