lucifer is extremely possessive. everybody knows it. but nobody knows the reason why is because he’s an emotional bastard. he’s scared of losing people who show even a twinge of interest in him. his fledgling years were cut short because of his stubbornness— he’s always looking for validation and acceptance because he never got it from the people he was supposed to get it from.

his pride always got in the way of every vulnerable moment he tried to have with past ‘relationships’. it just never worked. he was the embodiment of *sin*, such human emotions only bring pity and empathy. he had and will never feel either of those. the only thing he really felt nowadays was sadness. guilt eating at his grace.

but then michael came back into his life with the stick in his ass finally pulled out and those ‘human emotions’ were hitting lucifer like a semi-truck driven by his father himself. an unexplainable heaviness being lifted off his back. being around michael and being able to kiss him freely was addicting. everything about michael was addicting. the best rush of his life, if you asked him. lucifer was *so* hooked. they were hooked on eachother— because michael was secretly a possessive asshole aswell. (they compliment eachother perfectly. that’s why they’re inseparable.)

michael’s just as messed up as lucifer in terms of attention seeking, but that’s a post for another day.
