short drabble for samantha--wesson​ since i am having all the sam/conan feels today and she is also just generally awesome...

He had just finished tucking the littlest one into bed, pressing a soft kiss to her head where tufts of hair where beginning to appear. She was getting so big. Only a couple of months old and she already seemed to have doubled in size since they had brought her home for the first time. Though he wasn’t going to dwell on the fact that all too soon Leah would be the size Maddie was now and Conan definitely wasn’t going to thing too hard about how grown up Madison would be by then...

No, he was just going to stay delusional about the fact that both his daughters would eventually grow up and not to mention him getting old. He shuddered at the idea. Pushing that train of thought out of his mind before he ended up rushing to the mirror to check for grey hairs.

He smiled down at Leah, now snoring peacefully, before moving back out into the living room, coming to lean against the door observing Samantha and Madison where they were sat on the couch watching some sort of terrible kids movie. Not stopping the content smile tugged at his lips again.

Conan’s mind drifted back over the past year or so. What could he say he was feeling nostalgic. If somebody had told him when he was first turned that in just over ten years he would be living in a house with two daughters and the most amazing woman in the world, practically the picture of domesticity...Well he probably would have rolled his eyes, called them ridiculously cheesy and told them to fuck off. He wasn’t all too optimistic about finding love or happiness back then. Though he certainly wasn’t complaining now.

Pushing himself off the wall, he padded over towards the couch, plonked himself down between the pair, much to their protests and pressed a soft kiss to Sam’s lips. Not letting it linger too long, they had, after all, been told by Maddie on several occasions to “stop being disgusting”. Throwing his arms around the both of them, he leaned into whisper in Sam’s ear, his smile still present and only growing wider at the mirrored one on her features. “I love you, you know that? You all make me incredibly happy.” His smile turned into more of a cheeky smirk. “Just so you know.”
