your last response to him was such a cathartic read, and i don’t even know the asshat.

it was a cathartic thing to write, too. like maybe this is bad, but i truly enjoyed saying all that shit. like all my life he’s had this bloated sense of his own intelligence/ & this self-importance and like... when i saw the phrase “snowflake feelings” i just knew that i had to respond to him and like... idk what kind of people he’s used to dealing with but i love the mental image of him just smugly sitting back thinking “this will really make him cry. i am very smart” and like i’m choking on my laughter midway through his response. and then blocking him! like i know he thinks he should get the last word, and i just unceremoniously took that away from him and frankly it felt amazing

people love assuming you’re out of your lane when you disagree w/them…esp when it comes to ableism, for some reason. can’t count the number of times i’ve been labeled neurotypical etc bc i’ve disagreed abt something being ableist.

this is probably a Problematic Opinion: ableism has become a catch-all silencing tactic. a person can say “that’s ableist” in response to something without ever explaining what makes it ableist, then say that it’s ableist to ask them why what you did was ableist, then dismissively tell you to “stay in your lane!” when you confront them, despite the fact that you were talking about your own experiences as a disabled or mentally ill person in the initial post. it’s wild lol
