Closed for Sam
Mandy saw the post on the feed. Poor Sam. She was probably around Fortree City. That was where the next gym was. It only made sense that the girls were training to get their next one. Sam did seem to love woodsy areas. Mandy could probably find her, if she looked.
"Is that really such a good idea?" Mandy's new shadow asked.
It doesn't matter. She needs me.
The girl sneered at her. "You? What are you gonna do?"
I don't know. Talk to her?
"And has that ever helped?"
Mandy didn't have a response. It was true. Trying to talk to people only ever seemed to make the problems worse. But what else could she do? Just leave Sam to wander around in the woods after a loss? Especially considering what had just happened at the Institute! Aqua people might still be hanging around!
Besides, she was already well on her way.
The forests surrounding Fortree City were thick. It would be difficult to find anybody, especially someone as small as Sam. Mandy let out her team.
"Okay. Everybody split up. We'll meet right back here in... two hours. If one of us finds her, then holler." she instructed her team. Each of them went in separate directions. Mandy was sure that between the seven of them, somebody would be able to locate the wayward child.

I should really talk to her at some point.

1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?
My dad? He... he's a trip. Um. He's kind of sick, so sometimes he says and does really scary things. I know it's not his fault... I understand better than most people about that.
Anyway! He's a little too strict sometimes, but he cares about me a lot. Even after...
Right. Next question.
4. What type of discipline was your character subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?
Oh. I already answered that one.
6. Did they feel rejection or affection as a child?
And that one.
10. Is your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?
I'm pretty good at chemistry and stuff. I guess I wouldn't call myself very street-smart. Apparently I'm super gullible. Leon was making fun of me for it. What a jerk!
headcanon: Mandy likes to act like a protective big sister.
Sort of true? She'd like to be one, but she doesn't seem to be very good at it.
"Oh dear, do you need help?"
It was always for the same reason that Mohan ended up on the floor. And the six Zorua climbing and bumbling over him would give him the answer even if he didn't know.
"I'm ok," he said. "Just familiar with this kinda situation."
"Mandyyyyyyy! What happened?"Sam asked, looking like she was about to cry.
"Oh. Don't cry Sammy." Mandy said quickly, gently patting the girl on the head. "Nothing happened!" Nothing that wasn't too embarrassing for her to admit out loud anyway. But somehow she didn't think that Sam would let her get away without answering. This kid could be persistent. Mandy had to think of a good lie. She fell down some stairs! No. Too obvious. Crap.
