I LOVE THIS SHOW AND YOU WILL ALSO LOVE IT.

If you are a fan of cop shows, Mighty Morphin Power rangers, Amy jo Johnson or Veronica mars and you have not watched Flashpoint you should check it out its an amazing show about police officers from an elite unit called SRU based on the Canadian ETF, the members included Sargent Gregory "greg" parker played by Enrico Colantoni, Edward "ed" Lane played by Hugh dillion, Julianna " jules" Callaghan played by Amy Jo Johnson, Samuel w "sam" Braddock played by David Paetkau, Kevin " wordy" wordsworth played by Michael Cram, Michelangelo "spike" Scarlatti played by Sergio Di-Zio and Lewis " lou" Young played by Mark Taylor. It follows the lives of these 7 officers as they keep the peace because one moment changes Everything. This show has everything from action to heartfelt moment these are not just police officers arresting criminals, these are police talking them down from the ledge and figuring out what brought them to this point and why they are doing what they are doing. The scenery is beautiful, the writing is fantastic and the cast is amazing, I just wish it went on for longer, but as a creator to have the honor to end your show and go out with a bang when you want is an amazing honor that most shows don't get. It ran from July 11th 2008 to December 13th 2012, it had 5 seasons and 75 episodes.

Part 14

Sam Braddock: pov as my eyes slowly open I realize it's morning I reach over to the table on the side of the bed and grab my phone to check the time. It's almost 7am. I also have a text from Greg asking if I know when Jules will be released. I text him back letting him know I have no idea when she will be released but it could be today with how good she is doing. I don't usually sleep this late. I carefully extract myself from the bed without waking up Jules and quickly get changed and brush my teeth. I can hear the door open in Jules's room. It must be a nurse or a Dr. Once I'm done in the bathroom I walk back into the room to put my toiletries away. The sound I heard was nurse fisher checking Jules's vitals, it looks like she is waking up. Hey beautiful, how did you sleep?

Jules Callaghan: pov good, what time is it.

Sam Braddock: pov a little after 7am.

Nurse fisher: pov your vitals look good Jules, I know you want to get out of here bad. The Dr should be in here soon; he's running a little behind today. In the meantime what would you like to eat for breakfast? Your options are oatmeal, yogurt, smoothie, soup, apple sauce, banana’s, jello and eggs if you want to give them a try.

Jules Callaghan: pov a fruit smoothie sounds nice with some oatmeal on the side.

Nurse fisher: pov Sam if you want i can also get you the same thing for breakfast.

Sam Braddock: pov that's very nice of you, yes I would love the same thing.

Nurse fisher: pov I will be back soon with your breakfast.

Sam Braddock: pov you hear that Jules the Dr should be in here soon to see if you can be released. Any ideas on what we should do for our anniversary of when we started dating. It's coming up in a bit, I'm thinking maybe something outdoors like hiking or repelling.

Jules Callaghan: pov that sounds nice, maybe we can ask Greg for a Monday off and leave after work on that Friday. That way we will have 3 full days off and some of Friday to travel somewhere nice.

Sam Braddock: pov maybe we can rent a cabin in the woods.

Jules Callaghan: pov that sounds nice. The nurse is back with our food which looks amazing. Between slurps of my smoothie I ask Sam if we are exchanging gifts for our anniversary?

Sam Braddock: pov a vacation is enough for me but if you want to get me something then that's okay.

Nurse fisher: pov I clean everything up from breakfast.

Dr Mitchell: pov hello Jules how are you doing this morning.?

Jules Callaghan: pov good just ready to get out of here.

Dr Mitchell: pov i’m happy to report that you can be discharged your vitals from this morning looked amazing, I need to go over a few important things with the both of you.

Jules Callaghan: pov after going over everything and what symptoms to look out for I can get dressed. What about work?

Dr Mitchell: pov you will need to make a follow-up appointment before you can be cleared to go back to work. I will go get nurse Fisher with your discharge papers and to unplug you from the monitors.

Sam Braddock: pov I help Jules change while the Dr goes and gets nurse fisher.

Nurse fisher: pov you're all set to go, you can make your follow-up appointment with the receptionist before you leave. Also you need to use the wheelchair to leave the hospital Dr's orders.

Jules Callaghan: pov i'm not too happy about having to leave in a wheelchair, after making my follow-up appointment Sam heads to the parking lot to drive the car up closer to the exit. Nurse fisher pushes my chair close to the car door so I can get in easier.

Sam Braddock: pov once Jules is in the car I pull into a parking spot so I can text Greg to let him know Jules just got released and I will update him later. Let's head home.

Jules Callaghan: pov Can we stop at HQ to say hi to the boys.

Sam Braddock: pov sure you can see the guys but you're supposed to be at home resting how about this we head home so you can take a nap then we can bring the guys lunch when they are not on call.

Jules Callaghan: pov deal that sounds nice.

Sam Braddock: pov I will text Greg, we can also get lunch for the other teams on shift at the station. Let's get you in bed for a nap. The Dr said you might be sleepy/fatigued for a bit but it will get better.

Jules Callaghan: pov can you lay with me.

Sam Braddock: pov Sure no problem I can use a nap, it's hard to sleep in a hospital. I set an alarm so I don't sleep too long. Jules is asleep quickly. I can feel myself slowly start to fall asleep, after what feels like a few minutes but it's actually been an hour and a half. I wake up and call Winnie to ask if team one is still at HQ because Jules wants to stop by and bring them lunch. I would have called Greg but I don't want to bother him in case team one is on a hot call.

Winnie Camden: pov so far team one has had no hot call today team 3 is on a hot call at the moment but from the sounds of it it's almost over.

Sam Braddock: pov thanks Winnie i will call Greg. Hey Sarge, Jules wanted to stop by HQ and visit you guys, I just need all your lunch orders so I can order the food. I convinced Jules to take a nap which she is doing right now. To be continued. ……….

Part 13

Sam: pov Jules has been working on one of her diy kits for a bit while I watched a hockey game on TV. Now that the game is over I decided to do some push up on the floor as exercise. 

Nurse fisher: pov constable Braddock  why are you on the floor and Is everything okay?

Sam: pov everything is fine just doing some push ups since I don't want to leave Jules and can't get to the gym for my normal workout. 

Nurse fisher: pov that makes sense, how are you doing Jules.

Jules: pov good.

Nurse fisher: pov no weird symptoms. 

Jules: pov no.

Sam: pov we've been keeping an eye out for them the Dr told us to.

Nurse fisher: pov her vitals look great, considering what happened to her that is amazing. 

Sam: pov I got Jell-O apple sauce and bananas at the store would you like some.

Jules: pov sure, a banana is fine they have to go first anyway. 

Sam: pov what flavor of electrolyte drink would you pink.

Jules: pov Is there any pink ones?.

Sam: pov sure is. While she eats her snack and drinks her drink  I eat a granola bar and drink some water. You look sleepy, it might be time for bed.

Jules: pov can you get in bed with me.

 

Sam: pov sure, I just need to change and brush my teeth. Let's get you to the bathroom before bed while you are in there you can brush your teeth.

Jules: pov good idea.

Sam: pov I will grab our toiletries and a change of clothes while you get out of bed. Then I can change while you go pee. 

Jules: pov what I don't get to watch you change. 

Sam: pov it's not like i’m changing in the room a nurse could walk in. I'm talking about changing in the bathroom while you pee and  wash your hands.

Jules: pov oh. I make sure my wires aren't tangled as I get out of bed, the walk to the bathroom is short.   

Sam: pov I got everything we need. I take off my shirt first and put on an old military shirt I sleep in after that I take off my pants and put on some comfy ones to sleep in. 

Jules: pov as me and Sam are brushing our teeth i can hear a nurse in the room it seems like she is looking for Sam for some reason.  It sounds like nurse fisher.

Sam: pov hey nurse Fisher were you looking for me.

Nurse fisher: pov actually yes, there is a patient down stairs who was just brought in, former military guy the Drs are concerned that he still thinks he's over there fighting the war.

Sam: pov do they think he has ptsd.

 

Nurse fisher: pov there not sure, it's making it hard to treat him he needs tests and stuff. He came in for another reason. The psychological isn't getting through to him and the Dr's don't want to sedate him. Maybe you can help with you being SRU and former military. I was wondering if you would be willing to talk with him soldier to soldier.

Sam: pov sure i’m willing to try. I will be back soon, Jules.

Nurse fisher: pov thank you so much for doing this. I tell Sam as much info as I can while we walk to the exam room. Dr Klein this is Sam Braddock.

Psychologist Dr Klein: pov nice to meet you nurse fisher said you were in the military. 

Sam: pov yes JTF2 served  2  tours one of them was operation kbar.

Psychologist Dr Klein: pov Nurse fisher said you might be able to help and I'm willing to try anything. The Dr is with him now. 

Sam: pov hi kayden, master corporal Braddock here can you tell me how you are feeling today. 

 

Kayden: pov my head hurts, but I can't leave my post in case we come under enemy fire. 

Sam: pov i took care of everything, these nice people want to check to make sure you are okay and don't have a concussion. Is that okay with you? I can stay with you for a bit if you want.

Kayden: pov but then who will be watching my post.

Sam: pov I got that taken care of you don't need to worry. How about we talk while they check you out, keep your mind occupied.

Kayden: pov sure.

Sam: pov how did your head get hurt.

Kayden: pov I heard enemy fire and the next thing I know i’m on the ground and my head hurts. 

Sam: pov it's obvious to me this guy has ptsd and a concussion from a bad fall. Dr Markaway explains everything he is going to do to Kayden before he does it. Why don't you tell me about where you served.

Kayden: pov my unit was stationed in the middle east 6 of my unit never made it, our camp was attacked in the middle of the night I took cover in the tent and eliminated the enemies. 

Sam: pov  i know what it's like to lose a team mate, i served in JTF2 served  2  tours one of them was operation kbar. I lost my best friend Matt in a friendly fire incident where I was cleared to fire. The military sent me home a few days later because they were concerned it would affect how I did my job. I’m now a police officer saving lives instead of taking them. It's okay to not be okay, nobody is perfect. I thought I left the war behind until a team member of mine, a police officer named Lou Young, stepped on a landmine during a bomb call. He didn't make it. I thought I let him down. I have experience with landmines and I couldn't even help him. 

Kayden: pov it's okay I felt the same when I couldn't help my unit and they died. 

Dr Markaway: pov Kayden I need to take you for scans to make sure everything is okay with your head. I think you hit it pretty hard.

Kayden: pov can Sam stay with me and talk.

Dr Markaway: pov that's fine as long as Dr Klein is allowed to come.

Kayden: pov sure. 

Sam: pov me and kayden chatted for a while the technician in the scan room gave me a headset so I can talk with him during the scan. Afterwards they got him settled in his room. I will talk to you soon. You have my number, call whenever you need to talk. Dr Klein pulls me aside to thank me. 

Dr Klein: pov because of you I got so much  information and I can now properly treat Kayden on top of the possible concussion he is definitely dealing with post traumatic stress disorder. 

Sam: pov also him wanting to not leave his post is a sign of him feeling like he failed his unit. I say goodbye to the Dr's and head back to Jules’s room. To be continued.  …………….

Part 11

Jules: pov  Sam decided to push my wheelchair outside in the garden they have since the weather is nice. We spent about 30 minutes outside before heading back inside to my room. Nurse fisher hooked me back up to the monitors. 

Sam: pov Jules looks sleepy, I tell her to take a nap while I talk to nat on the phone and stop to pick up a few things.  The conversation with nat is short. I just wanted to let her know how Jules is doing. She is going to be helping me with Jules when I go back to work.  On the way to the store, I notice a car accident up ahead that doesn't look too bad. I'm not sure if the police have been notified. I call it in letting them know I'm off duty. I make my way over to the accident to check on the people in the cars. They both aren't that injured, I make the choice to call for a tow truck. I quickly take  pictures and get their statements about the accident, another police car has shown up to help with the accident scene. 

Officer Grady: pov I notice a man on scene talking with the people from the accident the cars are off to the side of the road. He must be the off duty officer dispatch mentioned. Hi I'm officer Grady you are.

Sam: pov Constable Sam Braddock of the SRU, I didn't see the accident. I arrived on scene after I was headed to the store to pick up a few things. 

Officer Grady: pov hey Sam I heard about what happened to your team in that warehouse, are they all okay. 

Sam: pov Spike and Leah got released first, Jules is still in the ER she stopped breathing during it all they think it's because she is so small and the dose of anesthesia was for a man not a small woman. She is doing so much better breathing on her own. 

Officer Grady: pov glad to hear thanks for helping out with the accident. 

Sam: pov at the store I park in a nearby parking space and head in I only need a few things. I put some bananas, jello cups and apple sauce for Jules and different flavors of some electrolyte drinks in the cart. I then grab myself some stuff to snack on and drink, after paying to head back to my car. The vending machines are so expensive at the hospital. Since Jules is going to be taking it easy for a bit. I'm driving back to the hospital and I notice a craft store down the road. Let's see if I can find her some type of DIY project. The parking lot is full so I park further out, inside the store I decide to ask the employee for help.

Ben Crafty canada employee: pov Hi is there anything i can I help you find.

Sam: pov actually there is, my partner Jules Callaghan is in the ER. We're police officers and I was looking for some type of DIY craft since she loves that stuff. I helped her renovate her house a few years back when we were first dating, the first time. 

Ben Crafty canada employee: pov first time. 

Sam: pov yeah it's a long story, we started dating which was against the rules then she got shot so we agreed to break up before she returned to work then about a year or 2 later me and Jules decided we still had feelings for each other and have been together since. 

Ben Crafty canada employee: pov so police officers must be a hard job. 

Sam: pov This job is hard and scary I thought her being shot was tough thankfully it was a through and through, then she was exposed to anthrax and got a piece of shrapnel in an artery in her arm and almost bleed to death now she's in the ER for something that happened on a call she technically overdosed on some type of anesthesia that came through the vents all because a person wanted revenge on the police. 

Ben Crafty canada employee: pov I hope she is okay.

Sam: pov she is doing better might be released soon. 

Ben Crafty canada employee: pov that's good to hear. If you're looking for something DIY we have these kits where you can build little scenes like a living room and other places. 

Sam: pov that sounds cool I think I will get her a few after paying. I decide to stop for some dinner on the way back to the hospital, Jules still isn't allowed outside food yet. 

Jules Callaghan: pov i just woke up from a nap, it looks like Sam is back from the store. He explains to me how he had to pull over and help out with an accident. He also got a few snacks while he was out and something special for me at the craft store.  Oh they're so cute, Sam says it's some type of DIY kit where you build different scenes. 

Sam: pov has the Dr been by since i’ve been gone. 

Jules Callaghan: pov don't know i've been asleep this whole time.

Nurse fisher: pov hey Jules got to see you up you were asleep when I checked on you before. 

Jules Callaghan: pov don't know how I slept through that I'm a light sleeper.  

Nurse fisher: pov I guess your body needed the sleep, I quickly check her vitals then ask what she would like for dinner from the choices I have for her, soon she will be able to eat anything she wants right now she has to be careful what she eats because it might not agree with her stomach. 

Jules Callaghan: pov when can I be released. 

Nurse fisher: pov that is up to your Dr. How about some soup? It says you can have some. 

Jules Callaghan: pov that actually sounds great. 

Nurse fisher: pov I will be back in a bit with your soup, would you like an ice pop while you wait.

Jules Callaghan: pov sure that would be nice pink please. To be continued.  ………..
