Jughead has been drafted to go into the Army to fight in the Vietnam War. Right before he leaves, he meets Betty Cooper.

WIP Wednesday: ethereal
He left the sight of her quickly. Taking a last look to memorize the soft expression of a newly drug doused brain, her skin an ethereal glow from the artificial light and lack of blood. The rest of the procedure went clean. The patient was moved from pre-op to post, and then to recovery two floors up. A corner room, by the window.

...my absolute favorite part of this is that I actually DON’T have jacket in any of my WIPs, but I DID earlier this afternoon. And then I was like “nah actually, he shouldn’t be wearing a jacket,” so I changed it. Anyway, here’s that sentence now, which was a jacket but now is not a jacket:
“Hey!” Meyer shoved himself between them, grabbing Benny by the scruff of his shirt and pushing Charlie back with a palm against his chest.

“Well, I don’t work Saturdays and they’re closed on Sundays.”

New chapter of Tangent just dropped. So for those of you who know the character, you know Tangent has already been introduced, well, sort of. To those of you who don't already know Tangent, I promise we'll get there eventually. There's just quite a lot that needs to be written first.
