KILLJOYS, 2.06
Everybody loves Lucy 🐶🐻
Chance
“Just give him a chance, Lucy. You’re always complaining about being single and when I hook you up with a date, you complain!” Cana gave her friend a teasing look. “She’s right, Lucy. I think you'll like this guy.” Mira piped in from next to Cana. The three of them were in route to Cana’s favorite bar to meet a fourth person, Lucy’s blind date. “I’m only coming because you promised you’d buy my drinks all night. I just don’t like blind dates. It’s awkward!” Lucy complained. “That’s what the drinks are for.” Cana winked at her. “Just trust us,” Mira said as she pushed open the entrance door, “so he said he’d be waiting at the bar.” Lucy’s eyes scanned the bar eagerly for the man she had to entertain for the next few hours. She did have to give those girls some credit, they had excellent taste in men even if they weren’t interested in them in the slightest. It was packed in the bar, too many single men littered the stools to give her any idea of which one it was. It was slim pickings from what she saw. “Laxus!” Cana called in a singsong voice. A gasp escaped Lucy’s lips as she watched a blonde man turn around at the sound of his name. His face lit up as he turned to see the three of them. Lucy felt as though all of the air had been knocked out of her chest, courtesy of his electrifying smile. He was... better than she expected. He was gorgeous, a greek god in the midst of mere mortals. Suddenly feeling self conscious, she ran a hand through her hair and pulled her skirt down an inch. She turned to Cana and squeezed her arm and they started to walk towards Laxus. “Thank you,” She whispered to Cana who was already wearing a proud smirk, “thank you so much.”
Lucy, a woman with an uncanny sense of taste and smell, discovers that her favorite restaurant has changed kitchen staff--and she does not know the identity of the chef whose cooking she's loved for years. When a lucky accident leads her to two former chefs at Dimanche, she decides that she will do her utmost to track down each of their old colleagues in order to rediscover that "perfect taste".
