Astro Observations - Synastry Edition
Based on my own synastry charts (supported by what other astrology enthusiasts have written online ✌️)
🙂 In synastry, Moon and/or Venus in aspect to Neptune may be good for a relationship. Too many Neptunian aspects may not be good since it muddles how we view the other person. Too many Saturnian aspects may not be good because it restricts expression or is too controlled. But having a touch of Neptune in synastry is an illusion and fantasy "cushion" that helps us overlook minor flaws and brings a romantic point of view to the relationship. We need a bit of fantasy to thrive!
🙂 The Moon is important in synastry since people are generally emotional beings. Prominent aspects to your or the other's Moon or Imum Coeli can show strong feelings of familiarity, comfort, and understanding. 4th House overlay, Moon conjunct Moon, and both Moons in the same signs also do this.
🙂 Planets in your 7th House, especially those conjunct your Descendant, can show people you are naturally attracted to and/or easily attract. For example, with Sun conjunct Mars in the 7th house conjunct the DC in Aquarius/Pisces, this person may attract or be attracted to more Aquarians (sign), Leos (Sun), Aries (Mars), Scorpios (Mars), Pisces (sign), people with prominent Suns or Mars, or generally more masculine people (Sun, Mars).
🙂 Having a lot of quintile or biquintile in synastry can show a relationship that is creative, fun, and exciting in some way. These are like little sparks where the energy refreshes itself over again.
🙂 People whose planets are in the sign of your Mars could benefit you because they push you to do things. Something about the chemistry between you two could be action-oriented and exciting. But, this person could also be annoying to you for the same reason. Even if they are not pushing you to do things, something about their energy can rub you the wrong way. Disagreements can rise quickly but fall quickly too. Also applies to Mars conjunctions in synastry.
🙂 More often than not, the sign on your 12th house cusp is the sign you are least likely to see in someone you're serious about. (This does not mean you hate people with that sign.) If you have 12th house overlays with someone you like, it will most likely be the sign that your Ascendant shares, not the sign on your 12th house cusp.
🙂 12th house overlays are hard to grasp. In theory, it feels like everything should be great (depending on what aspects and placements you and someone have in synastry). But in practice, something feels like it's missing and/or not in control. People who don't mind this overlay may be very in tune with their spiritual side or constantly trying to unpack their subconscious.
