Samini feat British born Ghanaian superstar Fuse ODG on this jam and its lovely. Listen to the song and reblog pls.WE LOVE AFROBEAT.
For the last decade, Ghana music has seen a massive rise of the Dancehall genre. This genre has garnered overwhelming attention from young music lovers. Dancehall artistes like Samini, Shatta Wale, Stonebwouy, Sugar Ranking + more are filling up sports stadiums for their concerts. This trend has caught the attention of the international music community, and some artistes have been recognized accordingly. Stonebwouy was voted for as international act of the year (Africa)by BET and Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall artiste of the year at AFRIMA in 2015. Samini and Shatta Wale have equally been recognized with international with awards like MOBO Awards, Headies, MTV Europe Music Awards, NIgeria Entertainment Awards, Channel O Music Awards, + more, and collaborated with international artistes like Movado, Demarco, Alkaline, busy signal etc. Dancehall in Ghana got a major hype when the legendary Morgan Heritage endorsed Stonebwouy and put him on his world tour. This music genre just like in Jamaica has seen it's negative side. That is artistes 'beefing' among themselves. They insult themselves in their music and sometimes this beef gets down to even the fans (popularly Bhim Nation vs Shatta Movement and Highgrade Family (Samini fans) vs Shatta Movement). Just last Saturday one of such beefs between Shatta Wale and Stonebwouy was squashed when Shatta agreed and perform at a BHIM Nation (Stonebwouy's label) concert in Ashaiman, Stonebwouy's home. All this events has contributed to making the dancehall genre in Ghana very popular. These events are also influencing young people to get into Dancehall. Economically, being a dancehall artiste is enviable. This can be seen in the Lifestyle of the popular artistes. . . Bizzbwoy (photo) who's influenced by some of these dancehall artistes wants to be like them one day. . . #Accra #Ghana #Africa #dancehall #music #genre #shattawale #shattamovement #stonebwoy #bhim #bhimnationglobal🌎🇬🇭🏁 #samini #jamaica #morganheritage #bet #artiste #demarco #movado #alkaline #history #beef #awards #streetstyle #streetphotography #everydayafrica #accrawedey (at Greater Accra Region)
