happy birthday to one of my favorite people and important collaborators @samiramahboub 🖤 5 years ago as graduate students at the London School of Economics we met and knew immediately we wanted to create work together that visualized what we studied, as @bysamania. Guided by post colonial theory, we wanted to open discussions and build bridges between women of all cultural backgrounds to tackle/untangle the ways in which patriarchy divides women in order to protect the status quo. SAMANIA has evolved and we’ve worked in LA, London, Athens, Dubai, and Paris, now several projects, years, and life changes later, here we are preparing for our first exhibition which will take place in Munich next Spring.
