"Thin Crust" Veggie Pizza
This little treat boasts over 20g of fiber in one sitting! That's half your goal for a Thrival day in one meal!Â
1 Samis Millet Lavash (18g of fiber!!! all whole ingredients - I hear Samisbakery.com)
3 Tbsp Classico Tomato Basil sauce (lower in sugar than most store brands)
broccoli, chopped fine
handful spinach, chopped fine
1/3 zucchinie chopped
cauliflower, chopped fine
1 Roma tomato, diced and squeezed excess water out
1/4 cup full fat mozzarella, organic cheese
Italian seasoning (no MSG)
Place lavash on a cookie sheet or pie pan (I liek pie pan so my toppings can't slide around!). Add tomato sauce, sprinkle italian seasoning, and 1/2 the amount of cheese. Then add dice veggies. Broil on low until veggies begin to brown. Pull out and sprinkle the rest of the cheese, place back under broiler until cheese is melted. If you put all the cheese on top of the veggies the water from the veggies cooking gets trapped and water logs your lavash making it a soggy mess...so let it breath first.Â
Simple Carb Swap for faster weight loss
This simple carb switch can be HUGE for weight loss - instead of regular breads, or tortilla's that are loaded with sodium, chemicals, gluten, and sugar - try a flax, spinach and millet lavash.
- 12g of FIBER!!! Keeps you fuller longer, lessens the insulin surge (that means less fat storage when we keep our insulin from spiking!)
- DELICIOUS when warmed for just a few seconds in the microwave or toaster and awesome if you toast it until its crunchy then you have your own "chips"
All whole nutritious ingredients ...no junk!
For my Florida friends, I get mine at Nutrition Smart (Wesley Chapel or Carollwood) or Rolling Oats (South Tampa) but they are made by http://samisbakery.com/our-products/breads/millet-and-flax-spinach-lavash/ - you can buy online too! LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE!!!!
