🪨For #InternationalRockDay here is an up-close look at @sammemoyer’s #DoorsForDoris. The sculpture unites imported stone with rock indigenous to the New York region, incorporating marble fragments, and framed by rough-hewn bluestone. The varying mosaic compositions compliment each other, creating a metaphor for the diverse character of our city. #SamMoyer *Did you know International Rock Day (yes, it’s real) was created so people all over the world could learn more about rocks?
