July 8th, 2019 || 🌻BOOK REVIEW: Rife, Twenty-One Stories from Britain’s Youth; edited by Nikesh Shukla & Sammy Jones🌻 . I really enjoyed this collection of essays and the issues explored, from mental health issues and the rental problems the people are facing now in the UK, to religion, diversity, feeling alone and inadequate, sexism, politics and the gap between the youth and the elderly. . As a whole, Rife portrays the struggles the youth in Britain is facing today and how young people feel sometimes they aren’t being heard despite the fact they are the future of the country. They write that the decisions about their future are being made without taking them into account and the frustration and the fear which that brings into their lives. . I learnt a lot from this but I also felt represented and although I enjoyed some essays more than others, I believe there is something for every type of reader in this collection. .
